To achieve uniformity and harmony within the workplace, the following rules and regulations have
been unanimously approved by the management. Effective immediately, everyone is enjoined to
observe the following:
Regular Work Schedule is from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm from Mondays to Saturdays, inclusive of a
one (1) hour lunch break (12:00 nn to 1:00 pm). An employee is entitled to a paid coffee
break of 15 minutes in the morning and another 15 minutes in the afternoon.
Any employee who absents himself without prior approval should notify the Employer of the
cause of his absence within the first three hours of his return to work by filling up the
Application for Leave of Absence Form. Unless satisfactory explanation is given as
determined by the Employer, disciplinary action shall be imposed on any employee who
absents without prior permission and being absent, fails to notify the Employer of the cause
of his absence within the first three hours of his return to work. In such cases, the absence
shall be charged to leave without pay (LWOP).
The Employer expects the Employee to report for work on time to efficiently and effectively
carry-out the interest of the company. The Employer, however, also recognizes that
contingencies may occur which prevent an employee from reporting to work on time. To
allow for such contingencies, the Employer grants a grace period of up to Ten (10) minutes a
day which should not exceed Three (3) times within a month. This grace period is not meant
to move the official starting time Ten (10) minutes later. Overtime shall not be offset by
undertime.
5. Overtime
Overtime work starts after an Employee’s standard work schedule. Overtime meal allowance
shall be given to those who rendered overtime work of at least Three (3) hours. An employee
who is authorized to go on overtime work shall accomplish the authorization portion of the
Overtime Sheet and shall have it duly signed by his/her Employer prior to rendering overtime
work. Strict compliance of the requirement prior to overtime work shall be observed by the
Employer, failure of which the EMPLOYEE shall be deemed not to be authorized to work
overtime and shall not be entitled to overtime pay.
6. Work attire
The Employee shall report for work in a decent work attire. Long pants for male employees
are preferable. Shorts and slippers are prohibited. Shirts without sleeves are also not
allowed. For female employees, micro mini skirts, shorts, transparent or sheer clothing,
spaghetti strapped and tube shirts and blouses, and the like, are likewise prohibited.
7. Maternity Leave
Leave of absence due to pregnancy or miscarriage shall be granted to any female employee.
For normal delivery or caesarian - 105 days
For miscarriage (pregnancy loss before the 20 th week of gestation) or emergency termination
of pregnancy (pregnancy on or after the 20 th week of gestation and includes stillbirth)
An Employee may apply for maternity leave by submitting a written application to the
Employer. The application for maternity leave should be supported by a medical certificate
from the attending physician of a certificate of confinement in a hospital or clinic indicating
probable date of delivery or actual date of miscarriage/unintentional abortion as the case
may be.
Application for extension of leave with or without pay on account of illness should also be
made in writing, attaching therein a certificate of the attending physician, clearly certifying
that the illness is connected with pregnancy, delivery, miscarriage or emergency termination
of pregnancy.
8. Sick Leave
All Regular Employees who have completed at least six (6) months of continuous and
satisfactory service will be granted five (5) days sick leave with pay during each year of
service. Sick leave credits can only be granted to those Employees who are actually sick and
in accordance with the policies of the Bank. Sick leave of more than two (2) days shall be
substantiated by a medical certificate issued by a qualified doctor indicating thereon the
nature of the illness and the number of days the employee is “indisposed”.
9. Vacation Leave
All Regular Employees who have completed at least six (6) months of continuous and
satisfactory service will be granted five (5) days vacation leave with pay during each year of
service. Vacation leave shall be scheduled so as not to disrupt the daily operations of the
company.
10. Resignation
Employee who shall voluntarily resign shall give a 30-day notice to the Employer as provided
for under the Labor Code of the Philippines.
Usage of cellular phones during working hours shall be strictly prohibited. Failure to abide by
this rule shall subject erring Employee to fine of ____.
Employees shall give their full support and attention to the conduct of business of the
Employer and shall not engage in any business or “sideline” of any nature or kind without the
permission and consent of the Employer.
13. Pilferage/Thef
An Employee who shall pilfer, steal, appropriate or convert any item belonging to the
Employer shall be made liable to pay double the price of the item, without prejudice to
disciplinary action which includes the supreme penalty of termination and/or civil or criminal
action that may be filed.
An Employee may be assigned or transferred to any of the branches of the Employer without
diminution of salary and benefits.
