CITY ORDINANCE NO. 2016-013

AN ORDINANCE REPEALING CITY ORDINANCE NO. 2013–018
OTHERWISE KNOWN AS “CABADBARAN SONG ORDINANCE”

WHEREAS, the power of the Sanggunian to enact ordinances and approve

resolutions carries with it the power to amend, revoke, modify or repeal the same;

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod feels the need to repeal City

Ordinance No. 2013-018 and change the existing Cabadbaran Song to be more
contemporary and suitable to the younger generation;

WHEREAS, it is but proper and fitting that a wide and thorough search for an
official song be conducted, a song that encompasses a wide aspect of the city, touching
on gender sensitivity, child-friendly community, virgin tourist spots, and
Cabadbaranons full of love and hope.

BE IT ORDAINED, by the 3rd Sangguniang Panlungsod of Cabadbaran City,

Agusan del Norte, in its 7th Special Session, that:

SECTION 1. The City Ordinance No. 2013-018 otherwise known as the

Cabadbaran Song Ordinance is hereby repealed.

SECTION 2. Any instances where the song will be played is no longer connected
to the City of Cabadbaran and devoid of authority from the City Government; at most,
the composition will just be considered as a mere pop song and part of the history of
Cabadbaran City.

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval and
copies shall be posted in all barangays, schools, and other conspicuous places within
the City of Cabadbaran.
