The Taekwondo

Taekwondo is one of the most systematic and scientific

traditional Korean martial arts, which teaches not only
the physical abilities of fight. It is a discipline that
shows ways to enhance our spirit and our life through
the training of our body and mind. Currently, it has
become a global sport, which has won an international
reputation and is among the officials of the Olympic
Games. This sport is originally from Korea.

The meaning of the word "Tae" "Kwon" "Do". It is

composed of three parts as you can see in its spelling in Spanish, although it is a single
word in Korean.
If we put these three parts together, we can see two important concepts behind the "Tae
Kwon Do".

First, Taekwondo is the correct way to use Tae and Kwon (Fists and Feet) or all body parts
that are represented by fists and feet. Second, it is a way to control or calm fights and
keep the peace. This concept is derived from the meaning of Tae Kwon 'putting fists and
feet under control' (or 'standing on feet'). So Taekwondo means "the right way to use all
parts of the body to stop fights and help build a better and more peaceful world".

It consists of fighting one person against another using your legs and should try to throw
your opponent out of the field or simply throw him on the ground. It is played as follows:
one opponent against another are placed on the playing field, one of them with a helmet,
ankle boots, and a bib that covers the entire trunk of the person in blue, the other
opponent is the same but in red , and an umpire, which is responsible for the combat being
done well.

it is practiced on a rectangular flat surface and inside that surface, there is another
rectangular but smaller one of a padded material to avoid blows against it. in a place
known as a dojo

It is practiced in 144 countries around the world, although in the countries that are most
visible it is Asia, and some, although less frequently, in Europe.

My favorite player is Sebastian Crismanich. is an Argentine athlete who competed in

taekwondo. he won the gold medal in this sport in the category of up to 80 kilos at the
Olympic Games in London 2012.

He won gold medals at the 2011 Pan-American Games in Guadalajara and at the Pan-
American Championship of Querétaro 2011, qualifier for the Olympic Games.

I do not practice this sport. I only observe it in the TV show at a friend's house from time to
time.

I like this sport, because I have always been struck by self-defense. also, it is a sport that
since I was little I wanted to learn and I have even seen possibilities to learn it.
