In this generation things are becoming modern. Not only the technology, jeepneys and
other transportation but also the things are we are using or the most essential things we
use in our everyday living like clothes. Not other the literal clothes but it is on how we
dress up, match it with different jewelries and footwear and the design. The decoration
of different houses are also becoming modern, the architectural design and displays
inside the houses like the chandeliers, tiles, colored glasses and vases. In fiestas
people are making arch for their fellow people to feel the essence of of the celebration.
Though modern things are dominating or approaching in this century or generation we
are currently living in, filipino people are still choosing or fond of using baroque style or
culture in their clothing, home designs and fiestas or works of art.

Barong and terno doesn’t go out if style. Since then until now, they are still using it
specially us filipinos. Some barong and terno now are being modernize specially the
style. But most of the barong and terno that they are using in this generation are the
usual one. They don’t want to change the cloth they are using and also the weaved or
embroidered design in front of it to make it more elegant. Eventhough there are lot of
deisgners that are approaching or bringing their names into business the usual barong
and terno are still the same. And sometimes they make it as a basis for the designers to
make gowns or masterpieces that are being use by celebrities or politicians. Lot of
programs nowadays are themed parties and most parties have the theme modern
filipiniana and barong. It is a very good idea because they are showcasing the
traditional suits in the baroque era. Houses and fiestas are still the same as before.
They did not remove their tradition on doing things associated with the baroque culture
or style. The chairs, the silverware displays, the frothy curtains over doors and windows,
family portraits and diplomas on the wall and also the cushions. The way how they
display their items or stuffs in their tienda or store. Filipinos still arranging and stocking
their slipper or bakya in a pyramid form and sometimes they place it near the door of
their house. Filipino fiestas still oncluding baroque designs, gowns and speech on the
programs.

In conclusion, It is a good thing that filipino are still obsessed on using or including
baroque in their life or work. It is also a way to preserve the baroque culture and for the
next generation to see and appreciate it also. We should not let modern things change
our old and accustomed traditions. They can also adapt it and apply it in the next
generation to come.

LESSON/ QUOTATIONS :

We should not totally forget the baroque culture because it contributed alot in the past
and also in this present times in out lives as a filipinos.
