SAP Information Steward (Data Management)

Role:
You will be part of Application Management Support team in the role of SAP Information Steward
developer who will be responsible for data quality in collaboration with stakeholders like business
owners, data sponsors and custodians ensuring quick, correct, clean and aggregated up to right
granularity data is made available for reporting. You will be managing and prioritizing the activities to
mitigate data quality risks and issues. Interpreting data policies and ensuring that data complies with
enterprise policies and standards in demonstration of Policy compliance and Standards adoption. This
role supports the Data Governance by executing on all areas subject to data governance and assisting
with key initiatives.

Responsibilities:
• You will be responsible for supporting the existing ETL and data models, analyzing and
enhancing them as per request received from users. Should be able to explain and resolve the
query in case end users have on its design and data transformation/restriction done.
• Design and develop simple to complex data management frameworks for data analysis, quality,
governance, lineage, impact using SAP BusinessObjects tools like Data Services (BODS), Data
Quality, Information Steward, and perform HANA modeling if required.
• Strong command over BI tools like BODS Data Quality, Information Steward including Data
Insight for data profiling, rules, cleansing advisor, Metadata Management, Metapedia, Cleansing
Package Builder, Match Review and Custom Attributes .
• It is expected from you to display strong command on RDBMS like Oracle, SQL Server and SAP
HANA is desirable.
• You will be accountable to manage the data management services up and running round the
clock, coordinating with respective teams to ensure the timely and correct data is available to
users as per agreed SLAs.
• Perform requirement analysis; provide effort estimation; comprehensive knowledge of SDLC
and QA/Testing methodologies, performance tuning at different layers.
• You should be excellent team player equipped with required soft skills to coordinate with other
team members, communicate and maintain professional relationship with business partners.
• Develop, test, debug, document and maintain data mapping jobs that will be used to migrate
data from a legacy system into SAP.
• Create and monitor testing to verify data quality and consistency in business processes and
reporting.
• Audit data in accordance with the Master Data Governance program that defines and monitors
the process of creating, modifying, storing and deleting data.
• Takes ownership of assigned data management topics and serves as the owner of data for
assigned business domains
• Presents findings and maintains issue log to Data Trustee (business owner) with oversight of a
more experienced Data Steward or Enterprise Architect
• Collaborates with other Data Stewards and works to provide insights to Kaizen data integrity
issues that affect Ashghal’ financials and customer data
• Remove incorrect data elements and database records from core databases
• Ensure that new data elements are not duplications of existing core data elements
• Follows standard operating procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can
be readily obtained.
 • Assists with special projects as needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering. (Min)
10+ years of Data Stewardship and governance experience.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work on multiple products and meet deadlines.
Excellent team player.
Thorough knowledge in data management tools like SAP Information Steward, BODS.
Knowledge on SAP HANA.
