 Vision: Vision is the long-term roadmap where the company/ anyone wants to go.

A career vision is a statement what a person wants to achieve in his/her professional career. It
is something which inspires a person regardless of where he/she is now and the distance
between the present and his/her vision.

Currently I am working as an Assistant Engineer in Dhaka Power Distribution Company

Limited (DPDC), a government owned company, which is one of the largest power distribution
companies in Bangladesh.

 Vision of DPDC is as following:

 VISION
Provide quality and reliable electricity to the people of Dhaka city and Narayangonj area for
desired economic, social and human development of the country.

 My career vision is becoming one of the leading Engineers in power sector of

Bangladesh.

I have been in power sector of Bangladesh for around five and a half years, both in generation
and distribution sector of Bangladesh. And currently working in Power Distribution System
Development Project under DPDC ltd. This project is govt. funded project for the renovation
and development of power distribution system under DPDC area.

Previously I worked in government owned Electricity Generation Company, named NWPGCL

(North-West Power Generation Company Ltd) for one year and in Electricity distribution and
customer service department of DPDC ltd. for almost four years.

So, keeping in mind about my previous experience, my career visions in simplified forms are:

1) Provide quality and reliable electricity with service excellence under my jurisdiction.
2) Identify, formulate, and solve complex distribution related engineering problems by
applying engineering and management skills.
3) Acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies.
4) As Bangladesh government is giving emphasis in power sector, technically and
managerially sound people are needed for the future power system development, so I
vision is to be one of the expertise in power sector.
5) Being a technical specialist in the power sector of Bangladesh is my ultimate vision.

I know this career vision is challenging but obviously attainable if proper hard work and follow-
up is done accordingly in the upcoming years.
