THE USE OF COMPUTERIZED ATTENDANCE MONITORING
SYSTEM TO THE PLMUN STUDENTS AND FACILITATORS

Purpose and Description of the Proposed Topic:

The purpose of this study is to identify the problems regarding the attendance
monitoring in Pamantsan Lungsod ng Muntinlupa and to implement what is needed
by the university. This study is to enhance students’ and teachers’ attendance
performance and school security. This study will develop a system to help the staff
and make their attendance monitoring easy and their work with less effort.

With the system, provides a user-friendly environment and effective performance

system, this will provide an easier and faster access to the data of every student and
teacher in their Attendance Report.

Main Problem:
Presently we use a manual attendance monitoring system in our university. As
we all know there are a lot of problems with the manual students monitoring system

Specific Problems:

a. Difficulty of analyzing
b. Possibility to misplace attendance sheets
c. Difficulty to collect attendace from large number of students

Causes of the Problems:

a. With a manual system there is a human eror
b. Limited storage
c. Unsupported records
Effects of the Problem:

a. Time consuming
b. Disorganize information
c. Disturbance of lecturer and student

COMPUTERIZED VOTING SYSTEM OF THE STUDENT COUNCIL
ORGANIZATION OF PAMANTASAN LUNGSOD NG MUNTINLUPA

Purpose and Description of the Proposed Topic:

The Student Council elections have always been an annual activity for every
school. It is an activity wherein each student is required to choose from a set of
candidates who will represent each position in the Student Council. This institution
had already conducted College Student Council Election of officers. It was evident
unfortunately that the turnover of these said elections has a problem indeed. The
creation of CSC Automated Election will help the school to make the work a lot
easier and more effective because of the automation of tally of votes of students
during the election period. Using computers, they would be the one to tally and
transmit the votes without human intervention.

Main Problem:
The most common problem faced in manual voting revolve around security
issues. Tallying and transmission of result are the root of unintended error and it takes
a lot of time in voting manually.

Specific Problems:
a. Miscounts of votes and erroneous counting of result due to the volumes of papers
use in manual procedures.
b. Security of the votes of the students as well as the candidates.
c. The counting of votes in CSC election results to time consuming due to volumes of
paper.
Causes of the Problems:
a. Human Errors due to large amount of data to be counted
b. Unsecured voting ballot

Effects of the Problem:

a. Wrong proclamation
b. Open for vote manipulation
c. Time consuming

AUTOMATED LIBRARY SYSTEM FOR THE PAMANTASAN
LUNGSOD NG MUNTINLUPA

Purpose and Description of the Proposed Topic:

The mission of the Automated Library System we proposed is to create

integrated services for students and administration of Pamantasan Lungsod ng
Muntinlupa School Library. This System is to provide facilities for users to enter
information into the system directly, instead of passing the information usually on
paper. The system will be designed to provide and manage the library including the
borrowing, returning and searching of books.

Main Problem:
In many institutions of learning, library management has become a problem
due to the continued use of manually supported system.

Specific Problems:
a. Misfiles a borrower’s records
b. Indexes a book incorrectly
c. Long que of students

Causes of the Problems:

a. Lack of data storage
b. Lack of information
c. Misplaced library cards

Effects of the Problem:

a. Library files, reports, and documents are not saved
b. Reports and updates with respect to library transcations and services are not well
dissemenated
c. The library cards with respect to issuing and returning of books were lost and
rejected
