IV. Generalization
“ A participle is a form of a verb that is
used in a sentence to modify a noun,
noun phrase, verb or verb phrase, and
thus plays as role similar to that of an
adjective or adverb. The past participle
describes things that have already
happened. Pas participles are generally
formed by adding -ed to the base form of
the adverb. The Present Participle is used
to describe things that are happening right
now or things that are continuous. It is
formed by adding the suffix “-ing” to the
base form of the verb. While the future
tense describe things that are yet to
happen it uses the form will + the base
form of the verb.
