Methodology
This chapter presents the discussion on the the research design and methodology of
the study, also the sampling procedure, the research instrument, data gathering procedure and

The researchers used Quantitative research method because our research is to gather
survey and that is in numerical form such as statistics, percentages etc. It produces information
only on the particular cases studied which is the “Impact of Social media in selecting tourist
destinations on senior high school students in AMA Cavite” and any more general conclusions
are the only hypothesis. Quantitative methods can also be used to verify which hypothesis are
This research employed correlational research design. Burns and Grove (2016) define
a research design as “blueprint for conducting a study with maximum control over factors that
variables, understand and assess the statistical relationships between them with no influence
extraneous variable. This study aimed at collecting information from the senior high school

from the Survey Monkey Questionnaire, and created by Finley, R. et. al, (2019) also it was
researcher, explaining the purpose of the research and soliciting assistance in providing the
required information. The questionnaire as two sections. Section A personal data of the
respondents such as; name, age, sex, class. etc.. While Section B contains fifteen (15)
statement items that were expected to throw light on the research questions and hypothesis.

Before we conduct a survey to Senior High School students of AMA Cavite, we ask
first permission to our School Director, by making a letter. Data were gathered through the
use of questionnaire made by the researchers themselves. The researchers formulated relevant

media on the students in terms of selecting their tourist destination. Questionnaires were
personally distributed by the researches to Senior high school students of AMA Cavite.
5. Data Analysis
All data were gathered, tallied, encoded and interpreted using different statistical tool
These include percentage, frequency of distribution which includes mean, median and mode
