NOWADAYS, you are on a holiday abroad. WRITE A POSTCARD including the following
information:
PART 1 – where are you and where are you staying?
PART 2 – what is the weather like?, what are you doing?, who are you with?, what are they
doing?
PART 3 – your impressions of the place and the food;

A. Prepare your presentation talking about the postcard. Bring pictures and your
postcard to show in class

5. PROBLEM SOLVING
A. Plan a cross-country road trip through various Colombian places. First choose a
vehicle to drive, and then fill up the tank with gas and go! Find the range and gas
mileage of each vehicle, and discover the shortest path between two cities.

 Calculate the gas mileage of a car based on how far it goes and how many
gallons of gas are used.

 Collect data to compare the gas mileage and range of different cars.

 Use a map to find a route from one city to another.

 Plan a budget for a road trip.
