Students will work in their table groups. There will be two of each tribe (Hopi, Cheyenne, Iroquois). Each
tribe will have 4 of each category of goods -food, clothing, and food storage. By the end of the activity,
they must have at least 3 of each type of item, with the goal being to have a variety of items in every
category. `

Each group will have one scout, one tradesperson, one scribe, and one chief. Jobs are color{oded with
stickers which must be worn.

Scouts (orange) wl.ll interact with other groups to see what they have available for trade and report back
to their group.

Scribes (pink) will write what thtir tribe plans to trade and why it is worth trading.

Tradespeople (yellow) will present their tribe's offer to the tribe they would like to trade with.

Chiefs (green) will guide their tribes through the activity, helping settle disputes and make final
decisions.

Teams that cannot agree or that raise their voices pay a fine to the teacher of one of their items
(teacher's choice). All tribe members must agree on the trade.
