review the current configuration.

Practice 3-1: Access and View Service Configuration

Goals
 Access Setup and Maintenance
 View configurations

Time
~5 minutes

Overview
In this practice you will access the Setup and Maintenance area and observe some of the
configuration options that have been set.

Tasks
1. Sign in to the employee application using your assigned login.
a. Select Start > All Programs > Mozilla Firefox to launch the browser.
b. Enter the URL supplied by your instructor.
c. On the page, under Primary Login Pages, click Sales Cloud Direct Login.

d. Enter the User ID (such as crm.student03) and Password supplied by your instructor.
e. Click Sign In.
2. Navigate to Setup and Maintenance.
a. In the upper-right, open your user name to view the Settings and Actions menu.
b. Click Setup and Maintenance.

3. Scroll to locate the Service offering.

Note: You can hover over the icons and see the title in a popup message.
4. Click the Service offering (with the wrench).
5. In the Administration section, observe that the Service offering is both provisioned and
enabled.
6. Click Setup.
7. On the left, in the Functional Areas section, observe the various functional areas that can
be configured.
8. Next to the Functional Areas title, click Change Configuration.
9. Observe that Communication Channels and Service Entitlements are enabled and
implemented.
10. For Communication Channels, click the Pencil in the Features column.

11. Observe that certain channels have been enabled, and others have not.
How to enable and further configure these channels is covered in a subsequent lesson.
12. Click Done.
13. For Service, click the Pencil in the Features column.
14. Observe features of the Service offering that have been enabled.
15. Click Done.
Note that although Service Entitlements does not have a pencil editing icon on this page,
how to configure Service Entitlements is covered in a subsequent lesson, as are other
configuration options.
