Intimate relationship is a kind of guilty pleasure towards partners, having a lot of

time for each other and some does not require much standards when it comes to their
other half as long as they love each other is way enough not until this phenomenon came,
the Korean Drama. With that, the viewing of Korean Dramas recognized as a major
factor that affects the Senior High School Grade 12 HUMSS learners of Talamban
National High School students during the 2nd semester for S.Y 2018-2019 in Talamban,
Cebu City. The profiles of the respondents (age, gender, availability of facilities for
viewing at home, genre of Korean Dramas watched, length of time used for viewing
daily, frequency of watching Korean Dramas and student’s intimate relationships) were
used as variables to determine if these could explain their frequency of their viewing
habit and perception on intimate relationships. The sample was composed of 55 students
from the different sections of the same strand of senior high school department.: The
perceptions (Romantic Beliefs from Sprecher and Mett and Love Values from Hendrick)
through using Likert’s Scale and their demographic profile were utilized as our
instruments for the data gathering and were obtained through a survey. The statistical
tools that were used in the study were Simple Percentage, Weighted Mean and Chi
Square. Based on the gathered data and statistical treatment, the overall findings
suggested that Korean Drama has no significant effect in the Grade 12 students’
perceptions on intimate relationships. With that, this study suggests that a more in-depth
and wide scope study should be done to investigate more factors affecting the students’
perception on intimate relationships
