The 3.2L Power Stroke is targeted towards customers who require an economic alternative to the current lineup of gas engines. The inline 5 cylinder
Power Stroke produces 185 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque; Ford’s specifications suggest peak torque is maintained from 1,500 to 2,500 rpm.
Backing the engine is Ford’s 6R80 six speed automatic transmission, which features two overdrive ratios. Upon reception, there was much speculation
that the 3.2L Power Stroke would find its way into the Ford F-150 platform. However, Ford has since released the 3.0L Power Stroke for F-150
applications and there are no plans to offer the inline 5 cylinder in Ford's best selling pickup.
