BASIC HAND TOOLS FOR WOOD WORKING

A claw hammer is a tool

primarily used for driving
nails into, or pulling nails
from, some other objects.

A try square is a
woodworking tool used
for marking and
measuring a piece of
wood.

A C-clamp or G-clamp is a
type of clamp device typically
used to hold a wood or metal
workpiece, and often used in,
but are not limited to,
carpentry and welding.
 A tape measure is a
portable measurement
device used to quantify
the size of an object or
the distance between
objects.

Woodworking and
carpentry hand saws,
also known as “panel
saws”, are used to cut
pieces of wood into
different shapes.

A coping saw is a type

of bow saw used to cut
intricate external shapes
and interior cut outs in
woodworking or
carpentry.
 Nail, in construction and
carpentry, a slender metal shaft
that is pointed at the one end and
flattened at the other end and is
used for fastening one or more
objects to each other.

Sandpaper is produced in a range

of grit sizes and is used to remove
material from surfaces either to
make them smoother, to remove a
larger of material, or sometimes to
make the surface rougher.

characteristically shaped cutting edge
of blade on its end, for carving or
cutting a hard material such as wood,
stone, or metal by hand, struck with a
mallet, or mechanical power.

used to secure
screws and bolts.
