Leave Requirement Information – Casual Leave


Below chart gives you an idea of how the Casual Leave works for my Case

Leave Name Casual Leave

Eligibility Condition > 1 Month from the Joining Date

Availing Condition Not more than 2 will be allowed per Month

Credit Calculation Immediately after Joining, 12 per Year will be given


Calendar Year to be taken into account

Carry Forward No

Reason Non - Mandatory

Ignored Cases,

 There are no proration available for the above case


 There are no transfers, Qualifications, etc.
 No Element attachment as this was just a Setup to track the Casual Leave alone

Setup Sequence
This is the basic Setup Sequence of the Absence Module. I have used the 1, 2 & 3 Steps for conquering the
above requirement Information.

*Important Key Setup under the (1) box will be Repeating Time Period. This will turn up to be more
important based on the Absence Type you are configuring.

Output of the Setup used in the Public Instance


When trying to use the Casual Leave for more than 2 days End User is getting the Error Message.

 You can see the Employee ie Curtis Feitty is surely more than 1 year of Service.
 On the Top right corner you can see he is able to receive 12 Days

Creation of Repeating Time Period


This is created to accommodate the Yearly 12 accrual. The period length here plays a key role.

Creating Derived Factors for finding the right Population


This is being created to pull out the Employees whose length of Service is > 1 Month

Here if you see the below screen, I have chosen the Unit of Months as Months. Important param is the Period
Start Date rule which is given as “Date of Hire”.
