ASTM D412 – Tensile Test for Vulcanised

Rubber Dumbbells

Scope:

This test method covers the determination of Tensile properties of

Vulcanised thermoset rubber materials in dumbbell form. This test method
is not suitable for ebonite or similar hard, low elongation materials.

This test method requires the use of an Extensometer for measuring the
elongation.
