AIM:
1. To identify and familiarize the Vacuum oil separator Components.
2. To understand the concept of Vacuum Oil purifier and the basic function of each components.

APPARATUS:
Vacuum dehydration oil purifier system

THEORY:
The harmful effects of water and particulate contamination in hydraulic, lubrication and
dielectric oils have been well documented.
By maintaining absolutely clean and dry oil, the life of critical wear components in rotational
and hydraulic equipment can be significantly extended, minimizing equipment downtime, optimizing its
efficiency, and maximizing profitability.
The most effective, reliable, and user-friendly vacuum dehydrators design features enable the
systems to consistently outperform all others, and our water-extraction rates are the best in the industry.
Reliability of hydraulic and lubrication systems and the life of system components and fluids are
extended by minimizing fluid oxidation, maintaining lubricate properties and reducing aeration.
Corrosion within the fluid system can also be controlled by reducing the formation of acids.

from the air or water.
Water pre-filters are
used in water purifiers.
These use physical and
or chemical processes
with fibrous pleated
nylons, sands, pebbles,
activated charcoal,
chemicals, ultra violet
ray etc. and clean the
water before further
purifications.

I Water Blow Valve Water Blow Valve is


to regulate the flow of
the water and to
minimize the wastage
of the water. Valves
either start/stop the
flow of water or
control(throttling) the
speed and capacity of
water or direct the
flow in one direction
only.

J Heater Power Switch Heater power switch is


to turn on and off heat
power

K Inlet Pump Inlet Pumps are


mechanical devices
which transfer liquids
to an attached Outlet
Pump. The Inlet Pump
will only function if it
is attached to an Outlet
Pump.
L Blow Off Valve The purpose of a blow-
off valve is removal of
dirt, sediment and
scale, the boiler code
requires that valves
which have dams or
pockets in which
sediment can
accumulate cannot be
used in blow-off
service.

M After Filter Adds both the visible


and hidden cells ( there
are additional function
numbers that can be
used to subtotal
filtered data) .

N Observation Window Purpose of observation


Window is to spend
enough time on this
step of the predictive
modelling project.

O Inlet Valve To provide path for


desired air flow to
combustion chamber.

mechanism during the
engine operation.

resolve the problems
pertaining to engine
cooling system. To
remove the entrapped
gases or air from the
engine cooling system.

Q Sampling Valve Used in industries

taking a representative
portion of a fluid. To
allows the operator to
extract a sample of the
product from the
production line or
reactor and safely store
it for transportation to
the laboratory where it
will be analyzed or to
the archive room
where it can be
retrieved for further
use

R Vacuum Pump Switch They measure vacuum


pressure (negative
pressure).To monitor
vacuum status and
open or close a
connection when there
is a change in the
vacuum level of a
liquid or gas.

S Inlet Pump Power It is used to control


Switch power to the brake
lights.
T Outlet Pump Power
Switch To get rid of the plug
and outlet and use a
permanent switch to
turn on and off the
power flow, similar to
a light switch.

U Heater Hot coolant from the


engines is passed
through a winding tube
of the core, a heat
exchanger between
coolant and cabin air

V Outlet Valve Outlet Valve is used to


regulate pressure or
flow downstream and
operate on
sophisticated
automation systems.
QUESTIONS :

1. What is a diesel fuel purifier?

Diesel Fuel Purifier is a simple one step unit that can remove 99+ % of free water and up
to 95% of heavy dirt, oxides , junk and other stuff with a density greater than the fuel, BEFORE
the fuel gets to your primary filter. The Diesel Fuel Purifier (TFP) performs this junk removal
without the use of a replaceable, changeable, or cleanable filter element, cartridge, or bowl.

2. How does fuel purifier work?

As the fuel enters the purifier, it flows downward in a circular movement through an
internal baffle system, entering the lower chamber of the purifier.
In the first stage of purification, the velocity of the fuel slows down considerably, allowing
any free water droplets and other contaminants to maintain their mass and not emulsify with the
fuel. These impurities accumulate and remain at the bottom of the purifier until purged.
In the second stage of purification, the fuel migrates through three perforated baffle plates
to stop any particulates and attract, by way of coalescence, any water droplets remaining.
In the final stage of purification, the fuel passes through our patented coalescence medium
to ensure that any small water droplets or particulates will be coalesced out of the fuel stream.
Only the clean fuel rises to the top, providing a cleaner-burning fuel for quicker ignition and better
combustion. Consistently clean fuel helps to increase the engine’s dependability, power, and
efficiency
CONCLUSION:

From the experiment above, vacuum dehydration oil purifier is a simple machine that
purified or used to remove water, oxides and other stuff. The function of components are
classified as given. The components had its own functions and plays important role in
vacuum dehydration oil purifier.
