Lesson4: How Animals survive

The 5e’s (Evaluation)

Misconceptions for learners: Students unclear what to do, or do the wrong thing and they
will have some mistakes such as they maybe confused between Adaptation –
camouflage.

Identifying and addressing these misconceptions: Teacher will explain and show for them
one example to be clear using pictures.

The Resources:

Power point, Pictures, Puppets, Poster, Chart, Seizers, Glue and worksheet.

The content: Adaptation

In fourth lesson its about adaptation students identify and learn about animal skin helps them stay safe.
And make activates in poster and papers about animal skin helps them stay safe. Then present it and
while they represent and speak they will wear the (Puppets) and we explain and discuss their poster.
And I evaluate them by ask them questions about their works. And evaluate them using chart.

Essential Question:
How do you know the animals stay live?

Guide Questions:
1- what is the title?
2- Tell me which animals do you have in your works?
3- how most adaptation occur?
4- how adaptation help animals survive?
Instruction sheet for each groups:

Before we starting the presentation I let students to set in pairs and each pairs represent they should to
wear the Puppet and students where engage and enthusiastic. And I assess each pairs using chart and
give them mark 1 to 4.

Safety brief: remained students to use the scissors carefully and use the puppet in a good way like
wear it don’t play.

Outcome: Students will able to learn how animals survive in the wild.

Activity Name: (Sort and stick)


Master group:

Students will work independent and will cat the pictures of animals then they will think what
this animals use to stay safety and stick it in the right place.

Students will have A4 paper and glow and pictures and they will sort what these animals use

Students will have puzzles pictures and they will sort what these animals use to stay safety

Extra activity: *Worksheet to draw circle that show which animals keep themselves safety.
And give students papers to make final research about the animals that they like.

Homework: I give the students to do a project by making a research from the internet and put the
picture of animals that they choose it.

Literacy thought:

In Speaking and Listening, students understand the questions to know the answers and actively
engage in classroom routines because they wear puppet and they like to present the works.
They listen attentively to conversations of other students, they speak aloud while they
representing. Students contribute to discussions by sharing different activities and display
respect for the contributions of others. Students plan and present presentations for specific
audiences, and ask purposeful questions.

Summative assessment

In the end of the lesson I used Student presentation in pairs students will present their poster works
and I assess them using chart. And finally they have test to do it for four connected lessons.
