[Key Components]
Built based on big data platform, CampusInsight uses the Streaming Telemetry
technology to collect device data in quasi-real time, analyzes features and
calculates baselines based on machine learning algorithms, automatically
identifies network faults, and displays analysis results on a graphical user
interface (GUI).

In addition, CampusInsight uses the machine learning algorithm to learn a large amount of network feature data and create
the baseline. In addition, CampusInsight dynamically adjusts the baseline based on the changes of network feature data.
By comparing the actual network data with the dynamic baseline, administrators can identify exception points before
network quality deterioration.

Full-Journey Experience Visualization, Guaranteeing Experience for Each Client at Each Moment
Administrators can search for a specific client by the client MAC address and client name. In addition, administrators can
draw a profile of a client to view basic client information, metric overview, connectivity issue distribution, and experience
trend.
Administrators can draw the client journey based on the client access history. By playing back client experience on the
network, administrators can check client experience (who, when, which AP is connected, what is the experience, and what
issues occur) on a profound basis. This helps the administrators sense network experience from the client perspective.

The packet path trace function can visualize the traffic path, including the devices at both ends, intermediate devices, and
ports that packets pass through. In addition, fault mode analysis is performed on the path to quickly and intelligently locate
the faulty device or port. Through poor-quality correlation analysis, root causes can be rapidly identified and rectification
suggestions can be provided to effectively improve fault locating efficiency.
[Composition]
CampusInsight provides basic edition and advanced edition. The basic edition provides the following functions.

Traces the network access process of a client, including
detailed protocol information at the association, authentication
(supporting only the Dot1x authentication mode), and DHCP
phases. The protocol information includes the interaction result
and time consumed. If the interaction fails, the failure causes
are also displayed.
Correlatively analyzes poor-experience clients. When
experience of a client deteriorates, CampusInsight identifies
quantified correlation KPIs based on the KPI similarity analysis
algorithm, which effectively improves the accuracy of root
cause identification.
Automatic identification and
Supports automatic identification of four types of network
proactive prediction of network issues based on Big Data analysis and machine learning
issues algorithms: connectivity, air interface performance, roaming,
and device issues. The issues include authentication failure,
weak-signal coverage, dual band capable client prefers 2.4G,

baseline comparison between the local region and other
regions for each indicator. CampusInsight provides associated
root cause indicators, enabling in-depth root cause analysis. It
allows you to select different time or areas for comparison and
analysis and sends quality evaluation reports to the
administrator in real time or periodically by emails.
Intelligent demarcation and root
Supports the issue distribution view, allowing users to view the
cause analysis of network issues number of issues on different devices and the number of
affected clients. This helps users quickly focus on the devices
where and time range when many issues occur.
Supports issue impact analysis views, allowing users to filter
impact factors from multiple dimensions and drill down layer by
layer to quickly locate the issue root cause.
Provides a site-based integrated topology of wired and wireless
convergence. Through intelligent group issue pattern
identification, you can visually and quickly demarcate issue
points.
Analyzes the root causes and provides rectification
suggestions to assist quick issue closure.
In addition to the preceding basic functions, the advanced package also provides the following value-added functions.

Audio and video service analysis
Detects the setup and teardown of audio and video sessions in
real time, automatically analyzes the quality of the audio and
video streams using the eMDI and awareness technologies,
and displays session information, uplink and downlink
poor-quality durations, and MOS values of the initiator and

responder of audio and video calls.

Constraints:
This feature is supported only for audio and video applications that use
non-encrypted SIP signaling and are carried by the RTP in the IPv4 scenario, for
example, HUAWEI Video Phone 8950.
Audio and video service analysis is supported for switches, and audio service
analysis is supported for APs. For details about the models, see the
CampusInsight Specifications List.
[Operating Environment]
CampusInsight supports hardware configurations of physical servers and VMs. Different hardware configurations have
different restrictions on the management scale. Customers are advised to prepare servers or VMs by themselves. To avoid
unexpected problems, configure the system according to the following software and hardware configuration requirements.

1. Deployment on VMs: cloud OS: FusionSphere 6.5; OS: Huawei EulerOS V200R007C00; database: Huawei
Gauss100 OLTP V300R001C00.
2. The management scale of different hardware is evaluated based on the number of connected clients. The system
pressure is higher when more clients are active. The number of managed WLAN devices is calculated based on the
empirical ratio of the number of clients, which is not strictly standard.
3. The single-node system version does not support high reliability and cannot be expanded to the cluster version. The
single-node system version does not support application analysis and AI jobs.
