What is human resources planning

Although people‟s understanding of Human Resource Planning (HRP) way in the

interest of work and organisation. Human Resource Planning may be seen in its
entirety as an effort to a nticipate the future of the organisation and to provide
personnel to fulfil that organisation and to satisfy customer‟s demands

Human Resource Planning is also the personnel process that attempt to provide
adequate HR to achieve future organisational objectives. It includes forecasting
future needs for employees of various types, comparing these needs with the
present workforce and determining the numbers and types of employees to be
recruited or phased out of the organisation‟s employment group

HRP will enhance the process of decision making, encourage open discussion,
bringing the right people together around the right questions, resolving conflicts
among strong technical professionals, and managing emotional ups and downs of
employees of the organisation

HR Planning requires that we gather data on the Organizational goals

objectives. One should understand where the Organization wants to
go and how it wants to get to that point. The needs of the employees
are derived
from the corporate objectives of the Org anization. They stern from
shorter and medium term objectives and their conversion into action
budgets. Therefore, the HR Plan should have a mechanism to
express planned Company strategies into planned results and
budgets so that these can be converted in terms of numbers and
skills required.

INTRODUCTION TO INDUSTRY

INDUSTRY PROFILE
Retail is the process of selling consumer goods or services to customers
through multiple channels of distribution to earn a
profit. Retailers satisfy demand identified through a supply chain. The
term "retailer" is typically applied where a service provider fills the
small orders of a large number of individuals, who are end-users, rather
than large orders of a small number of wholesale, corporate or
government clientele. Shopping generally refers to the act
of buying products. Sometimes this is done to obtain final goods,
including necessities such as food and clothing; sometimes it takes place
as a recreational activity. Recreational shopping often involves window
shopping and browsing: it does not always result in a purchase.
Retail markets and shops have a very ancient history, dating back to
antiquity. Some of the earliest retailers were itinerant peddlers. Over the
centuries, retail shops were transformed from little more than "rude
booths" to the sophisticated shopping malls of the modern era.
Most modern retailers typically make a variety of strategic
level decisions including the type of store, the market to be served, the
optimal product assortment, customer service, supporting services and
the store's overall market positioning. Once the strategic retail plan is in
place, retailers devise the retail mix which includes product, price, place,
promotion, personnel and presentation. In the digital age, an increasing
number of retailers are seeking to reach broader markets by selling
through multiple channels, including both bricks and mortar and online
retailing Digital technologies are also changing the way
that consumers pay for goods and services. Retailing support services

Page

 All those who work in the company should see it all together
 If all the company’s being employed, they will be sincere in the
work they are doing there
 Improve perfection – in order to make a good relation between
subordinates
 Improve simplify practices and process
 Improve the relationship between the employer and manager
 Avoid exhausting workload
 Insurance job has no base pay and the sales people are highly
autonomous. The leader should spend more time in assistance and
communication so that the subordinates understand real stress that
comes from economic (income) pressure but not from the job
itself.
 It suggests that there is a need to arrange the training program for
managers and peers so that they can increase their skills and
actively participate in the organization.
 In service sector employees will be encouraged to use cooperative
and assertive behavior pattern in dealing with its customer

In conclusion, it should be noted that stress can be considered as a fact
of nature and the force from the outside which disturbs the individual.
When it is on the job it becomes costly for employees and employers,
reflected in lower productivity, reduced motivation and job skills. It is
also noted that emotional intelligence plays a role to create the abilities
in an individual to better control the stress in the workplace. The study
also bring to a close that an investment in the emotional intelligence
training program to develop the emotional intelligence level of
employees’ either manager or peer, might be beneficial not only to
improve the individual performance but to also increase the
organizational performance
