Evernote is a website that allows users to record and organize notes. The website has its own templates where users can fill in their
information and the website allows the user to store notes for easy access later on. Notes can be easily organized in the user’s
notebook. There are several included formatting tools and users can add their own photos, graphs and webpages.
How might you use this resource in a lesson plan to promote student-centered learning?

This website would be helpful for student-centered learning as it allows students to take notes how they want within the website.
While there are specific templates available, students also have the choice to leave the page blank for free writing. It gives them the
freedom to organize and design their notes as they like.

selected resource?

I would give Evernote a two on the value-added rating scale. This website aligns to content standards as it uses technology to help
students create collections of information. Additionally, it enhances a lesson and will increase student engagement as it allows them
to record their class notes in a simple way that they can reference at a later date to support mastery. Students, over the teacher
would use this to record notes. However, this tool does not dramatically transform the lesson and is simply a substitute for regular
pen and paper note taking.
