At the end of the session the students are expected to:
a. demonstrate how to create a batik design for an advertisement which employs Indonesian
Wayang Kulit or Malaysian air muleh motifs;
b. shows appreciation of the common fabric in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore and;
c. create a batik design and make a reflection.

The students will be ask the following question:
What makes a Southeast Asian Art? Why?
b. Motivation
Picture Association
Pictures will be flash on the TV. The students will identify the pictures presented and share
their ideas.
c. Introduction of Essential Questions/Objectives
What makes a Batik distinctively Bruneian, Indonesian, Malaysian, and Singaporean?

Video will be presented to the class using the TV and they are going to tell what will be the
topic to be discuss.
