I. Objectives:
a. Identify the basic positions in Yoga through participating the gallery walk activity;
b. Give the importance of Yoga Exercise in daily life; and
c. Perform the different basic yoga poses through acting out the word or phrase.

II. Subject Matter


Topic: Yoga Exercise
Reference: GRADE 10 Physical Education and Health
Pages 87-90
Materials: Laptop, Flat screen TV, worksheets, envelopes

III. PROCEDURE

- Preliminary Activities

 Prayer
- The students are ask to stand for the prayer.
 Checking of attendance
- The class secretary will check the attendance.
 Classroom Management
- Setting class rules.

Processing Questions:
1. What did you understand about this concept map?
2. What did you do last meeting? What are the benefits you can gain while
performing the hip-hop aerobics?
3. Why do we need to exercise regularly?

B.Motivation – Picture Puzzle
- Students will be divided into 3 groups. Each group will receive an envelope,
inside of it are picture puzzles. The task of the group is to form the picture
and post it on the board while other members act out what’s on the picture.

C. Presentation
- Now that you have formed the puzzles, what do you think will be our topic for
this morning?
 Presentation of the learning Objectives.
 Diagnostic Assessment
-Strike a Pose Activity
Students will choose 1 answer among the three choices after reading the
statement.
Students will reflect on how challenging the poses.
- What was the most challenging pose? And not so challenging pose?
- What pose do you like most?
- How was your breathing? Do you think your movements were graceful?
Explain.

D. Discussion – Gallery Walk


- The students will be grouped into 3. They will be given different tasks for
them to be guided.
- There are 3 different stations posted. Each station has topic and activity to
do. Students will move to the next station when the time is up. They will be
given 2 minutes to discuss and perform the task or activity.
Processing questions:
1. How was the activity?
2. What did you learn from the topic?
3. How well did you perform from the different yoga poses? Did you feel
strengthening of your muscles?
4. What benefits can you gain as you engage yourself in doing Yoga movements?
5. Will you recommend yoga to your family and friends? Why?

E. Generalization- Graphic Organizer


Make a summary about the topic using graphic organizers/chart/concept
map. Students will explain their output in front.

F. Application- Charades
The goal of each student is to act out the word or phrase without speaking,
the team members try to guess what the word/ phrase is as quickly as possible
before time runs out. 2 minutes only will be given to the group.
VALUING
- How important Yoga exercise in our daily life?
- What are the moral lesson / values we can get from the Yoga Exercise?

FILM also called a movie, motion picture, moving picture, theatrical film, is
a series of still images that, when shown on a screen, create the illusion of
moving images. This optical illusion causes the audience to perceive
continuous motion between separate objects viewed in rapid succession.

Film directing it is the director who directs the making of a film. A Film
Director controls a film’s artistic and dramatic aspects and visualizes the
screenplay while guiding the technical crew and actors in the fulfillment of
that vision. The film director works with ideas, images, sounds and other
effects to create this unique piece of art. He or she conceptualizes the
scenes, directs the acting, supervises the cinematography and finally the
editing and sound dubbing in much the same way as a visual artist
composes an artwork. Clearly, however, the director does not do all these
alone.

Acting, there was the art of acting for film. Acting is an activity in which a
story is told by means of its enactment by an actor or actress who adopts a
character- in theater, television, and etc. When an actor is about to go on a
film audition or shoot a film, there biggest challenge is usually preparing
emotionally for the role.

Cinematography, behind the scenes. This captured the director’s vision of


each scene through camera placement and movement, lighting, and other
special techniques.

Editing, the art of selecting the precise sections of film, then sequencing
and joining them to achieve the director’s desired visual and emotional
effect. Sound editing was also developed, as films began to include more
ambitious effects beyond the dialogue and background music.

Production/ set design, this recreated in physical terms- through


location, scenery, sets, lighting, costumes and props- the mental image that
the director had of how each scene should look. What period it should
depict, and what atmosphere it should convey. This included creating
worlds that did not exist as well as worlds that were long gone, designing
each production component down to the very last detail.
