Statement of the Problem

● With this two-thirds cut, there is a high possibility


Diversity & Inclusion Program being shut down within the
next year.

● Outcomes that will arise


○ Hilton’s mission to be the most hospitable company
will not be met.
○ Established relationships with diverse nonprofit
partners will break.
○ Decreasing our team members motivation for
diversity.
○ Our team members resource groups will be affected,
that will lack the advocacy for the LGBT
Community, Military, Abilities, and Ethnic Groups.
Why
W it’s important to have the Diversity and Inclusion Program?

● Diversity and Inclusion brings people together from different cultural and
ethnic backgrounds.
● It assists Hilton Hotels in following the federal/state government diversity
quota laws.
● It attracts non-profit organizations to work along with Hilton Hotels towards
social progress.
● It increases employee motivation and ethics, along with increasing positivity in
the workplace.
● It increases consumer revenue and diverse hotel guests because of the
reputation Hilton has in promoting diversity and inclusion.
● It increases competition with other hotel corporations that have similar
programs.
● Hilton Hotels is an advocate for LGBT rights,

including being part of Gay Pride parades.

● Hilton Hotels has hired many employees from

different and diverse backgrounds because of

what the program has done to achieve this.

● Hilton has expanded properties in many

different countries because of what the

program has advocated.

● Hilton Hotels has significantly improved

workplace ethics and standards since the

implementation of the program.


Keeping the
This program has brought in many people from all
different backgrounds.

Diversity and Taking this away would be a step backwards for the

Inclusion Program company and LGBTQ inclusion.

The Hotel would lose valued guests along with the


media taking this story and spinning it in a negative
light.

Social justice groups might boycott the Hilton and it


would plummet business even possibly domino
effecting to a complete closure.
