Q.21. A medicine capsule is in the shape of a cylinder with two hemispheres stuck to each of
its ends. The length of the entire capsule is 14mm and the diameter of the capsule is
5mm. Find its surface area.

Q.24. If the 3rd and the 9th terms of an AP are 4 and -8 respectively, which term of this
AP is zero?
Q.25. Prove that the ratio of the areas of two similar triangles is equal to the ratio of the
square of their corresponding sides.
Q.26. Draw a circle of radius 2.9 cm and draw its diameter. Through one of the end points
of the diameter, construct tangent to the circle.
Q.27. A TV tower stands vertically on a bank of a canal. From a point on the other bank
directly opposite the tower, the angle of elevation of the top of the tower is 𝟔𝟎𝐨 .
From another point 20m away from this point on the line joining this point to the
foot of the tower, the angle of elevation of the top of the tower is 𝟑𝟎𝐨 . Find the
height of the tower and the width of the canal.

A straight highway leads to foot of a tower. A man standing at the top of the tower
observes a car at an angle of depression of 𝟑𝟎𝒐 , which is approaching the foot of the
tower with a uniform speed. Six seconds later the angle of depression of the car is
found to be 𝟔𝟎𝒐 . Find the time taken by the car to reach the foot of the tower from
this point.

the rate of Rs. 25 per litre (use π = 3.14).
