Activity 1: My Description of Curriculum

Definition:
My description of curriculum is that “curriculum is the information or knowledge that a student is
expected to acquire as he or she develop through the school system”.

Explanation:
In dictionaries, curriculum is often defined as the courses offered by the school, but for me, curriculum
is the knowledge that a student is expected to acquire through the learning process of the school procedure.
Curriculum provides the learning experiences to the students so that the students will be able to learn the skills
and knowledge they need and which are helpful to the contemporary society. The curriculum must be flexible
that react to the needs of the society and the needs of the individual leaners. It is a process of transferring
knowledge and skills from both teacher and student. Both have their important contribution mutually. The
school and the teacher must create the environment in which the students can learn the knowledge effectively.
For me, the school must be more focus on the learning than of the teaching to unfold the full potential
of the student. Through this,

The outcome of learning is being able to use the information and skills effectively and creatively.
