Countries need to legalize medical marihuana

PROS

 Marijuana is effective in relieving nausea and vomiting. Studies have shown that
pharmaceutical cannabis can decrease nausea caused by chemotherapy used to
treat cancer and almost eliminate vomiting.
 Marijuana can relieve the spasticity of the muscles that is sometimes associated
with multiple sclerosis and paralysis.
 Marijuana can help treat appetite loss associated with conditions such
as HIV/AIDS and certain types of cancers.
 Marijuana can relieve certain types of chronic pain, including neuropathic pain.
 Marijuana is safer than some other medications prescribed to treat the same
symptoms. For example, it may be used instead of opioids for pain management.
Opioids are highly addictive and are typically not recommended for long-term use
in treating chronic pain.
 Studies show that smoking marijuana alone (without the concurrent use of tobacco)
does not increase the risk of lung diseases.
 Cannabis does not need to be smoked to be medically beneficial. Products such as
cannabidiol (CBD) oils, topical pain relief treatments, edibles, and other non-
smoking applications are now available.
 As research continues, more of the individual compounds in cannabis are being
found to be beneficial. When isolated—such as CBD has been—these may lead to
further advancements in medical treatment options without the "high" produced by
the compound commonly known as THC.
 Marijuana has been used for centuries as a natural medicinal agent to good effect.

CONS

 Frequent marijuana use can seriously affect your short-term memory.

 Frequent use can impair your cognitive ability.
 Smoking anything, whether it's tobacco or marijuana, can seriously damage your
lung tissue.
 Smoked marijuana contains cancer-causing compounds.
 Marijuana carries a risk of abuse and addiction.
 Marijuana has been implicated in a high percentage of automobile crashes and
workplace accidents.
 Long-term or abusive use of marijuana can be harmful to a person's health and
well-being.
 Second-hand smoke from marijuana can be harmful to others.
 Many allege that regular marijuana use can lead to the use of harder, more harmful
drugs such as heroin and cocaine.

Smartphones have made our life easier
PROS
Thanks to the built-in Internet capabilities, you can check your bank balance, pay bills and
answer emails while on the go and away from your computer.
Keeping in touch with friends and family is easy with the convenience of texting and the
ability to update your social networking accounts.
You'll never miss a meeting or forget an important date because you'll always have your
schedule with you by using the calendar function. Just about everything you need to keep
your day running smoothly is at your fingertips.
Smartphones are always connected to the Internet, via a data network, mobile broadband
or Wi-Fi connection. This allows you to receive updates to your social networking sites,
news feeds or emails in real time, making communication practically instantaneous. You
can stay on top of current events, keep business deals moving quickly or stay in touch with
clients, family or friends without slowing down.
Cell phones allow parents and their children to stay in touch. So, if a child needs to stay
after school or needs a ride, he will be able to call his dad or mom to let them know his
situation. Cell phones can also be important in emergency situations when parents need to
quickly get in touch with their children or vice versa.
Because of the latest features and applications put in mobile phones these days, children
will learn a lot of things from it.

CONS
With great convenience comes the possibility of great distraction, however. Smartphones
will alert you to new emails, text messages or comments on your various social networking
sites, and the urge to check these latest updates can sometimes be too strong a pull.
Accidents and injuries can occur due to these distractions, so don't respond to your
smartphone's alerts like Pavlov's dogs. Resist the urge to check your smartphone the
second it sounds, and when you do check, do so responsibly and only when it's safe.
Using cell phones to cheat in exams has become a big issue in many schools in the US.
Students are now able to text answers under their desks while at it.
Cellular phones, especially smartphones, are expensive to purchase, and you must earn
and save lots of money first before you can own one.
Records reveal that texting while driving has already caused millions of deaths from traffic
accidents each year. Included in this number are teenagers, who are contributing to an
insane amount of accidents due to mobile devices. While some cellular phones have
already been integrated with voice-navigation and hands-free capabilities, the threat from
using these devices while driving is not totally removed, but just downplayed. When
driving, we should just resist to text or call because this can cause our attention to slip
from the road, from which outcomes can be devastating.
We are addicted to our mobile phones, and the idea of leaving them at home or turning
them off would give us instant anxiety. This is also since making an actual voice phone call
can make many of us nervous, so we would just prefer to converse in short text messages.
