Landforms
(Sung to “This Land Is Your Land”)
Chorus:
Our earth has landforms,
Or special places.
This land is home to
So many spaces.
All kinds of landforms
Are found around us.
Landforms make up our special land!

Up in the highlands,
You’ll find the mountains,
some hills and cliffs too,
And flat-top mesas.
These are the highlands,
A special feature.
Landforms make up our special land.
Chorus
Down in the lowlands,
You’ll find the canyons,
Plus river valleys,
And bluffs and gorges.
These lands are lowlands,
A special feature.
Landforms make up our special land.
Chorus
Deep in the wetlands
Are swamps and marshes,
Plus soggy bogs oh,
and lots of water.
These lands are wetlands,
A special feature.
Landforms make up our special land!
Chorus
Across the wide plains
It’s mostly treeless.
The land is so flat
With grasses growing.
These lands are called plains,
A special feature.
Landforms make up our special land!
Chorus
LAND HO!
The following 6 pages can

This game is a practice in subtraction.
Players will begin with 10 (or more
depending on skill level) small pebbles .
Take turns tossing a larger pebble on to
the Volcano Gameboard. The number
you land on tells how many small pebbles
you lose. Land on 5, lose 5. If you land on a
line, no number space, or off the board,
lose nothing. The player to lose all of
his/her pebbles first wins. Keep a record
of throws and subtraction activity.
