TRAINEE ANSWERS
1. By following the procedure in making up bed, the learner can finish it on
time, with satisfying results. The learner will be safe also which an important
matter to consider is.

2. Changing beddings in hotels after each guest is a must for cleanliness,


proper sanitation and good health, this why it is a Standard Operating
Procedures in hotels to change the beddings.

3. In bed make up, it is a must that a trainee should wear apron, gloves and
mask to keep her safe and healthy. Wearing mask prevents dust from entering
the nose, while the apron keeps your clothes free from satins and the gloves
protects the hands from injury and dirt.

4. In case of asthma attack, you should stop from the task you are doing and
seek immediate help, inform your trainer so he/she can help you right away.

5. In case there is no pillow, you should go back to the linen supervisor and
inform him/her of the situation so that he can make the room unavailable for a
certain period of time until the problem is settled.

6. In case the bed has cracked, before you can change the beddings, inform the
supervisor so he can send worker to fix it and may assign the room unavailable
until the bed is ready to use.

7. Loose hair can cause hindrance while performing the task, it can get tangled
with the linens therefore, can affect the speed of finishing the task. It can also
prevent you from having correct observation of your work especially if it is long.

8. Honesty is one of the best qualities a housekeeping attendant must possess,


in case there are valuables left such as jewelry or money by the guest and the
housekeeping attendant found it when making up bed, she won’t be tempted to
get it, instead, she must hand it over to the Lost and Found section. If this
happens, it will be good for the hotel image.
