Thesis Statement

The authors succeed to bring out his arguments in this article/issue to sum up with the real situation in
todays education.

The topic was about having a poor performance of the students. The author author state , that every child
can learn .That so many students fail to attain necessary skills reflects not in the incapacity of thje
students but also the incapacity of the school to meet the needs of every child.

Research problem

As the title of the issue suggests, that the relationship of the students and the teachers can greatly affect
the performance of each students. This is illustrated in the authors transcription of an interaction among
students and the teachers along.

Introduction

For me having the poor performance of the students does not mean that they do not learn anything ,its not
just the students incapacity but also the performance of the teachers and the environment of the school.
Maybe some reasons for poor performance are specific to the students and not related to external factors.
For example, a learning disability is student-centered and may create an obstacle to reaching certain
academic standards. Motivation also can play a factor in poor performance. A student may be fully
capable of earning high grades but might simply not care enough about education to exert the effort.
Issues of motivation could be placed upon the parents or even the school, but sometimes a child simply
does not enjoy learning.

According to Christopher Cascio ,teachers play a significant role in student performance and also can be
responsible for poor student performance. For example, if a teacher lacks experience or is dispassionate
about teaching, the children might not be able to develop comprehensive understandings of the subject
material. Furthermore, if the teacher suffers from a classroom management problem -- such as extreme
authoritarianism -- the classroom environment might hinder fruitful class discussions and collaborative
learning. It also can deter students from applying themselves to the best of their abilities.

Because of this poor performance the students is in danger of failing to complete his/her education with
an adequate level of skills. Risk factors include low achievement retention in grade, behavior, problems
poor attendance at low socioeconomic status and attendance at school with learning. They bring various
barrier to the classroom requiring teachers to find appropriate ways to help them succeed.

Discussion

In this article of “classroom instruction at risk” the author features the relationship between the
teachers and the learners. The author”s main point that being at risk of the students don’t reflects on
their incapacity but also with incapacity of the teachers , thus the teachers provide some resources or
equipments like classroom buildings, computer facilities and complete references to improve the
performance of the students. But still the performance of the students remained unsatisfactory. Quality
classroom instructions largely depends on the quality of the teachers, learners amd the actual
environment.

This issue of unsatisfactory performance of the students reflects the inadequacy of both the teacher and
the and the school head.

Conclusion
Therefore the claims that pupils before were better than those of today is closely teacher-related.
Teacher education today does not make sense to the best and brightest way or strategies that can make
the students to improve their performance and that makes the difference.

The author mention that the teachers are meagerly compensated for their voluminous function and of
school which aggrevates the issue of having poor performance of the students.
