To Whom It May Concern:

It is with great honor and the utmost pleasure that I am writing this letter of recommendation for Jayden
Tyler for admission to the Nueva School of Performing Arts. In the time that I have had the honor and
pleasure of getting to know and work with Jayden, he has shown himself to be an upstanding, responsible,
considerate and driven young man. His caring spirit and willingness to put others’ needs before his own
are qualities one rarely finds in young men of his age. In a sport where the demographic is predominantly
female, Jayden has proven himself to be the epitome of a gentleman, exemplifying leadership qualities
and personifying the very meaning of the word.

I first met Jayden in the spring of 2018, when I first began coaching his team on their tumbling and
performance. From our very first practice together, I was impressed by Jayden’s standout personality. He
was polite yet hardworking, both qualities necessary for being a de facto leader on his team. As one of the
only three males on the team that year, the son of one of the coaches, and one of the tallest male
cheerleaders I’ve ever worked with, Jayden was automatically looked at as a leader. I personally believe
that true leadership is not a role one prepares for, that it is something that is thrust upon those who aren’t
even aware of their own ability to lead. As Simon Sinek is known for saying, “A leader without a title is
better than a title without the ability to lead.” I’m unaware if Jayden ever had an official title on his teams,
but I can say that even without one, he led with exemplary behavior. He was ALWAYS the first one at
practice and the last to leave. Even after my extremely intense workouts, he was helping his teammates
clean up the practice equipment, work on their technique, or making sure everyone was good before
heading home.

Jayden’s drive, focus to detail, and his relentless persistence in always trying to improve himself and his
skills make him a true force to be reckoned with. But his competitors would never see it coming, simply
because it comes wrapped in the guise of a gentle giant. In the months we spent training together, Jayden
quickly progressed in not only getting his skills but KEEPING them! He’d frequently send me videos of
him practicing, asking for critiques and tips on how to improve his technique. With relentless and diligent
practice, he was performing his skills with great confidence and command over his technique!

I am confident that Jayden possesses the exact qualities necessary for your school. His qualifications as a
valued, talented, and experienced competitive cheerleader make him an asset in creative problem-solving
and his ability to improvise solutions. His caring spirit and imaginative, witty nature make him a creative
storyteller, which lends itself directly to his talents as an illustrator and artist. He is also extremely
enthusiastic about all things creative, which I learned early on as we talked about our favorite comic
books, television shows, and movies!

It is with great pleasure that I endorse and recommend Jayden Tyler for admission to the Nueve School
for the Performing Arts.

Respectfully,
