My family

My name is Sonia Wiliasari, but my parents usually called me Nia. I am the first
children in my family. I have one younger brother and his name is Rendy. Now he
is studying in vocational school. I also have one younger sister too. Her name is
Angelica but I usually call her Enji. Now she is studying in elementary school. My
mother is a housewife and my father is a cruise ship waiter in America. So, I only
meet my father every six months a year.
My mother is a discipline. My younger brother is independent to do a daily activity
and so do I. except for my younger sister, because she is still taught to be
independent. We are taught to be independent since we are kids. I love my family
very much. I learn many things from my parents and my siblings. We are also taught
to take care of each other.
My younger brother is good at playing soccer. He is assigned to represent his school
in the soccer competition. My younger sister is good at swimming and dancing.
Every Sunday morning she always practices to swim and in the afternoon she
practices traditional Balinese dance. She often joined swimming and traditional
Balinese dance competitions. I have a different passion from them. I do not like sport
and dancing. I like cooking and my mother say that my cooking is good.
Despite our busy daily activities, my parents never forget to have quality time with
their children. We regularly spend our weekend somewhere, for example, the beach,
cottage, cinema, mall, and many other places that we like and new to try. I cannot
even show more how happy I am to be born in this family.
My grandmother and grandfather sometimes visit us. My grandfather is so healthy.
He is sixty five years old but he still can read a newspaper and do not use his glasses.
My grandmother is very energetic. She loves cooking like me. I learn cooking from
her. She often makes cake and bread for us and those are very delicious. I think that
I cannot find bread and cake as delicious as my grandmother’s. She also loves
planting flower. In grandfather’s house, there are many kinds of flower in front of
the garden. Those are very beautiful. My grandmother takes care of them very well.
