The Icelandic milk chocolate bar with toffee bits; $12.

50 a piece

We imagine that only great, deep and contemplative minds comprehend the
workings of rational thought and how it relates to pure reason. It’s really quite
simple.

My craving for that particular chocolate bar is so great that I travel 60 miles
to get one. These babies are thick and weighty. The first bite renders me
unconscious of my surroundings. My wife and I walk throughout shopping in the
strip district and I’m like hungry infant suckling his mother’s breast and I can’t stop
till she’s emptied. And it pains me to break off a bit and share it with her.

Toward the end of the bar I start to feel the contradiction set in. I begin to
feel sick to the stomach. I suddenly remember once again that it takes 2 weeks for
milk chocolate to go through the digestive tract due to its’ heavy grease like nature.
In the suddenness of an eye blink I sink into the despair of a self-loathing glutton.
It’s a misery that is equal and opposite of the craving that filled my gas tank for the
journey to chocolate bliss.

That craving and that misery are the product of the ass of my identity sitting
firmly in the rational thought process. If the two states were seen in one light,
standing right there side by side they completely negate one another. I order for
that to happen I would need to transcend thought and enter into the state of pure
reason.

It’s like if you’re standing there with your arms relaxed and dangling at your
waste. Suddenly you raise them half way up horizontal so your body looks like a
cross. Now when you look to see the left hand, the right is a completely obscured
from view. To look at one you are blind to the other. Now imagine that your left
hand is the craving and your right hand is the loathing.

In every case of every addiction and every destructive impulse in life is our
judgment. The judgment we entertain concerning the right against the left is the
very thing that sends them into exile, that obscures the one from the other. When
that judgment of “good” against “evil” begins to cease, both of our hands begin to
drift and gravitate forward toward the front of our face. When the “Judge not” state
is finally perfected the two hands touch and you enter the state of absolution, the
state of “Shove that chocolate bar up your ass, I want nothing to do with it”.
Rational thought keeps us in the scratched record state of resolving issues. It
makes for revolutions that just keep re-doing the same bullshit over and over. Pure
reason brings about the final correction, the absolution of the issue. The former
resolves the problem, the later absolves it once and for all.

We as a whole have focused on resolving humanities problems like I did (and

still want to do) with my precious and very expensive chocolate bar. Once a year I
revolt against my appetites drudgery and boredom and my revolution starts with a
full tank of gas. It’s pointless, and I know it but I’m hard pressed to stop myself.
It’s the same thing with regime change. Some self-absorbed asshole has a
chocolate bar ideology in his mind and he raises an army to procure it. You can find
them everywhere; individuals, politicians, preachers of religious doctrine,
practitioners in medicine and the healing of the psyche, they can all be locked in the
rational thought process and devoid of pure reason.

The rational thought process is designed to weigh “this against that”. If left to
its own it basically never shuts up? All that rational thought does and can do is
gather information and write in the factors of an equation. It can gather, process
and update information; identify differences, qualify divisions and weigh the ratios
between them. And it can write a real big equation, like the ones Einstein did on 3 or
4 blackboards.

What rational thought was never designed to do, what it is totally incapable
of doing, is to solve the equation. In other words it is neither designed nor
equipped to render the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Hell comes to earth
when we trust it to do so.

The whole truth is rendered by pure reason only and the origin of pure
reason is not the brain. It is prior to the brain. It is the comprehension and
expression of the pure “I am” that is exactly the same in all of us, the “I am”
commons upon which no quality is attached; no smart no stupid, no conservative or
no liberal. The “I am” that is engendered by nothing whatsoever.

Pure reason dawns on us intuitively, meaning its’ brought into consciousness

from elsewhere. Its’ doorway and path is prepared when “this and that” are no
longer viewed in separate and partial lights but instead viewed under a single full
light of one another.

For that to occur the mind must be whole and free from the divisive influence
of rational thought. You can discover at the heart of every single manifestation of
strife, every grain of bigoted perception, every divisive attitude in existence, that
rational thought was given the job of absolving the equation.

The brain does not have the right to reach a conclusion. It cannot!!! Because
its’ essential field of operation is the two sided, back and forth, this or that
hemispherical brain it cannot transcend divisiveness. Therefore it is in itself
incapable of wholistic understanding.

The baseline insanity that we see in this world is the result of “I think the
truth” jumping up on the pulpit. That must be made to stand down. It must be
understood and made to keep its’ nose to the designated grindstone. It’s the very
profound and blatantly obvious choice between two masters; “I think that I know
everything about everything” or “I know that I can think anything whatsoever right
up onto a pedestal of my chosing”. The former is a lie that we tell ourselves. In the
later we are quite true to ourselves.

The best that rational thought can come up with is a well dressed and
charismatic a half-truth, a bedazzling half-truth that mimics Gods’ tone of voice.
When partisan thought pretends to encompass the whole truth we descend to the
low that politics has sunk. .

That’s especially so if ones’ semi brilliant brainchild opinion is emotionally

charged, politicized or born from the concept womb of some “us against them”
religious doctrine. Truth and absolution is the job of pure reason, because unlike
the politician/sectarian it really is opinion free and non-divisive. There comes a
time when we just have realize that we can’t reason the whole truth from a
rationalized half-truth no matter how stump speech clever, politically correct or self
fulfilling it sounds.
