FINAL YEAR PROJECT

Smart Vehicular Traffic Density Analyzer (SVTDA) System


This is an intelligent system which detects the traffic density on the road with the help of Infrared Transmitters and
Photodiodes Receivers coupled to a microcontroller. The density on each junction determines the green time allowance
as well. Solar energy is incorporated to provide backup power where there is a cut in power from the national grid.
Simulations were made using MATLAB and MULTISM to estimate the traffic flow.
