Emirates International Poster Festival (EIPF) is the first-of-
its-kind creative platform in the MENA region developed
to showcase and celebrate contemporary poster design
from around the world. This is an initiative of the Cultural
and Scientific Association (NADWA) in Dubai to expand
creative expression and to promote graphic design
practice and creative thinking in the MENA region. Posters
are a unique form of visual communication for sharing
information, human thoughts, response to local and global
issues, promoting products or services.

ORGANIZER
The Culture and Science Association (NADWA)
is a scientific cultural institution established in
1987 to promote culture, science and arts in the
United Arab Emirates.
Since its inception, NADWA has been
supporting and stimulating cultural, scientific
and creative movements. Moreover, it
has developed and elevated through the
organization of a wide variety events and
activities that publicize achievements within
the UAE and Arab region, as well as by the
promotion of cultural exchange with other
nations.
The aim is to encourage talent, competence
and expertise in all fields, consolidate positive
cultural concepts based on the spirit of heritage
and the future insights of the national strategy
of the Emirates.
NADWA also seeks to strengthen relations and
documentation with associations and other
similar bodies worldwide, highlighting the face
of the civilized state, and working to achieve
social harmony away from sectarian, ethnic,
religious or political conflicts.
EIPF GENERAL TERMS AND
CONDITIONS
1. Entry Fee: Free.
2. Each Participant can submit only one poster.
3. Deadline for online submission:
September 15, 2019.
4. The Organiser reserves the right to reject
entries if its content or form fails to meet the
festival requirements. The Organiser has the
right to deny participation to anyone who’s
entry contains content which harms the
reputation of the Organiser, third parties or is
against the law.
WORK SPECIFICATION
1. Size: 70X100 cm.
2. Digital file: CMYK, JPEG 300dpi, Vertical
placement with ‘Image Options: Quality: 12
Maximum’ and ‘Format Options: Baseline
(“Standard”).

APPLICATION
1. Digital files must be uploaded to EIPF
(http://eipf.nadawa.org).
2. Deadline for submission September 15,
2019.
3. Each submitted work poster must include
a work description (20 words describing
the design concept of the poster, the main
materials used and production process).
4. Authors will receive an automatic
notification when works are successfully
uploaded.
EXHIBITION / OPENING CEREMONY

2. Exhibition venue: The Cultural and Scientific
Association (NADWA), Al Rasheed Road, Al
Mamzar, Dubai.

COPYRIGHT
Upon submitting online entries for the EIPF,
the author thereby is deemed to agree to the
following:
1. All terms and conditions of the EIPF by
ticking the box “I have read and accept the
Terms and Conditions of the EIPF” on the form.
2. Submitted work is to remain with the EIPF /
NADWA foundation.
3. The author guarantees that organizers
have the right to use, exhibit, collect, publish,
photograph, publicize, and reprint work for
non-commercial purposes.
4. The authors guarantee that submitted work
is created by themselves, and does not breach
the intellectual property rights of any third
person. The organizer will not be held liable for
any breach of proprietary rights.
PUBLICATIONS
1. The EIPF will produce a catalogue including
colour reproductions of the posters submitted
for the exhibition.
2. Special commemorative stamp will be
issued.
3. The works of the EIPF will published online
on the website of the festival and NADWA.
4. Each participant will receive a certificate of
participation and one copy of the exhibition
catalogue.
