TYPOLOGY OF NURSING PROBLEMS IN FAMILY NURSING PRACTICE
1. Risk for Lifestyle Diseases related to:
Once a day every week intake of 500 grams viand rich in fats content
(fried chicken and fried fish), once a day intake of 250 mL of drink rich in
caffeine every morning, and presence of a diagnosed hypertensive head
of the family.
2. Risk for cross infection related to productive cough of a family member:

One week length of productive cough of a 6-year old child, coughing

without covering once mouth and also presence of common cold that
helps in the obstruction of airways.

3. Risk for Fire Accidents related to presence of Fire Hazards at Home

House structure is built from light materials and the cooking facility is by
using coal and fire woods when used in cooking it is difficult to control
the fire and the kitchen’s roof is lower than the roofing in the living room
area and bedroom.

of vectors of diseases.
The flooring of the family’s house is made up of sand where mostly snails
can survive and lives and they have a congested neighborhood with
clothes that are outside their homes causing the increase o mosquito in
the area.
7. Risk for infection related to non-use of self-protective measures

The youngest child tend to play without wearing slippers and the famiy’s
home is lacking of some vital self-protective measures such as long
sleeves or pants, insect repellants and plastic boots, specifically that
schistosomiasis is positive in their community.

prescribed drug as his maintenance however the partner of the head of the

FAMILY II
Head of the Family: Elmer Enreola
TYPOLOGY OF NURSING PROBLEMS IN FAMILY NURSING PRACTICE
1. Risk for Lifestyle Disease related to:
Frequent cigarette smoking when doing work in transferring sands and
250 ml coffee every morning in a week and children are frequently
drinking 250 ml carbonated drink more than three times a week.
2. Risk for cross-infection due to shared comfort rooms of the head of the family
with schistosomiasis.
Transmission occurs when people suffering from schistosomiasis
contaminate fresh water sources with their excreta containing parasite
eggs, which hatch in water.
3. Risk for fire accidents and falling accidents related to presence of fire and fall
hazards in the house.
The house is made of light materials and the cooing facilities is by using
coals and fire woods where fire is difficult to control when cooking. The
house is also in an elevated flooring made of sand where falling is
inevitable and their bed is quite high and has no protective bed side
railings that would protect the children from falling when in deep sleep.
4. Poor home sanitation related to lack of food storage facilities
The family uses a Biscuit container to store excess rice or stock of rice
for a week, and for their excess viand they usually leave it in the frying
pan and just cover it. The frying pan could be accessed by house fly or
even rats and once they ingested this viand it can cause stomach upset.
5. Poor environmental condition related to unsanitary waste disposal manifested
by presence of breeding or resting sites of vectors of diseases.
The neighborhood are mostly putting their waste at the back of their
houses which is near the shore behind their houses. The flooring off the
area is made up of a sand where snails adheres and the neighborhood
is congested and wash clothes that are left outside causes the increased
of mosquitoes. The family does not have a comfort room and shares the
comfort room of their neighbor.
6. Unhealthful personal habits related to walking barefooted or inadequate
footwear.
The youngest child keeps on roaming around the neighborhood
barefooted and enjoying the sand in his foot, which makes him
susceptible to any infections that could be get from the sand.
7. Risk for infection related to non use of self-protection measures
The family does not have any available materials for self-protection
measures such as plastic boots, screen, bednets, insect repellants, or
even any resources as substitute for self-protective measures.
8. Schistosomiasis
The head of the family is diagnosed with schistosomiasis.
9. Inability to provide a home environment conducive to heath maintenance and
personal development due to inadequate family resources related to financial
constraints and limited financial resources.
The family has only the head of the family as the one working and his
income is used for the expenses in their home since he and his wife just
separated and both their children is in his care an income of 150-200 per
day is not enough to use for the improvement of their home.
