The Advantages and Disadvantages of Technology in Our Daily Life

How important is technology? Literally, at every instant of time, we are surrounded

by technology. Whatever you are working or resting, you are always using technology. It is
used everywhere and all the times. Its use has made life easy. We need technology. It’s
important. Technology has boosted every industry. Businesses have grown, creating more
employment opportunities. Advancements in technology have led to the evolution of newer
and faster modes of transport and communication. The application of technology has boosted
research in fields ranging from generics to extraterrestrial space. The computer and Internet
technologies are ubiquitous. They have changed every sector; be it medicine, tourism,
education, entertainment or any other.

Technology has touched every aspect of life, making it easier, better and different.
Technology has changed living. It has changed the way people communicate.
Communication systems have evolved from pigeons carrying messages to emails and instant
messages that traveling distance in seconds. Cellular technology and satellite communication
have increased communication speeds and made “connecting” easier. At the heart of every
piece of technology is automation. Technology automates the most complex of processes, be
it in communication, education, medicine or any other industry. Nothing else has changed
living the way technology has. And that’s exactly why technology is so important today and
will always be.

In today's world, where just about everything is more convenient and accessible
due to advances in technology across almost all sectors, it may seem as though it's a
misnomer to even mention any disadvantages of technological advances. However,
despite how far technology has taken humans and no matter how convenient it may
make things, there are some disadvantages accompanying this level of access.
he invention of Facebook, twitter, snap chat, messenger and other social media apps
are destroying the student life. Now students spend half of the day in social media
apps. They are checking there Facebook notifications, messenger and many other
things.
People became lazy. Now, in most of time people watch the Television instead of
going to park and playing somethings out there.
The more advanced society becomes technologically, the more people begin to depend on
computers and other forms of technology for everyday existence. This means that when a
machine breaks or a computer crashes, humans become almost disabled until the problem is
resolved. The other disadvantages of technology such as Data Security, Crime and
Terrorism, Complexity, Privacy Concerns, Social Disconnect, Work Overload, Digital
Media Manipulation, Job Insecurity, Plagiarism and Copyright, Anonymity and Fake
Personas.
Almost everything we use in our day-to-day life is a gift of technology and we cannot
imagine our lives without most of these things. While technology has been classified into
several categories each serving its own purpose, the core motive of all these remains the
same, that is to design and build newer devices to make life more convenient. However, as
much good as the technology has done to the mankind, we cannot deny the fact that it has
also caused as much harm to our surroundings. However, being one with the nature is no less
ecstatic. Try striking a balance between the two and you will see how your life changes for
good.
