TABLE OF CONTENTS
1. SCOPE / OBJECTIVES
This Method Statement details general procedures to be followed for the GRP Lining to Water
tanks & Holding Tanks.
3. PROCEDURE
3.1. General
1. Before commencement of the work, ascertain the nature and location of all existing services
on site by visual survey.
2. If any protection, rerouting, termination or removals of services are required for the smooth
progressing of work, it will be discussed and written approval will be obtained from
Engineer as appropriate.
3.2. Materials
1. The material shall be approved and shall be used as per the Finishing schedule.
2. Polyester Resin-Hetron-922P and LPT Catalyst
3. Glass fibre mat- E Glass strand mat TG Glass fibre 450 gms/m2.
4. Woven roving Mat-600 gms/m2
5. Store GRP materials in covered sheds and take precautions to ensure that workmen and the
work area are adequately protected from the fire hazards and health hazards resulting from
handling, mixing and application of GRP systems.
3.6. Protection
1. Care should be taken to avoid any bodily contact.
2. All work during & after execution will be well protected against weather, direct sunlight
and physical abuse.

5. HEALTH, SAFETY, ENVIRONMENT (HSE)
1. The entire works will be carried out as per the guidelines established in the Project Specific
HSE Plan.
2. Utmost importance shall be given to safety of personnel and protection of services. It will be
ensured that the personnel involved are thoroughly aware of the Pivot Engg. & Gen.
Contracting/ Employer Safety regulations. To achieve the above the following shall also be
ensured:
3. Tool Box Meetings will be conducted before starting the works.
4. All personnel will be provided with suitable Personal Protective Equipment.
5. MSDS shall be made available prior to the start of the job.
6. Proper and safe access will be provided for workmen to reach the work spot and carry out
their works safely.
7. Necessary and essential lighting and ventilation with blower fans will be provided during the
course work.
8. If scaffolding and working platforms are to be provided to facilitate the work, the same will
be checked for its safety.
9. Individuals will not work continuously in confined spaces regularly.
