C. Learning SUBTASKS:
Competencies /
Objectives By the end of the class, students will be able to:
Write the LC code
for each A. Distinguish the scientist and their contribution in the development of the
periodic table.
B. Outline the development of the periodic table.
C. Appreciate the importance of the development of the periodic table.

Procedures:
E. Discussing new
concepts and 1. Students were given printouts on the contributions of unknown scientist. They will
practicing new skills match it to the pictures and names they have done on Activity 1.
#2 2. Students will watch a video clip confirming and checking their answers.
3. Using Manila paper, outline the development of the periodic table based on the data
given.
The students will post their outputs on the board.
EXPLAIN
Each group will present with their outputs based from the Guide Questions below:
F. Developing mastery
(Leads to Formative 1. How well do you know each of the Scientist you’ve listed?
Assessment)
2. What are the advantages of knowing their contributions?
G. Finding practical
applications of ELABORATE
concepts and skills
Paste a picture on the board which shows a child eating his/her meal and ask the students with
in daily living
the following Guide questions:
H. Making 1. With the development of the periodic table, how would this information help us in today’s
generalizations and living? Cite the advantages which relates the development of the periodic table
abstractions about
the lesson 2. What do you think the world will look like without the development of the periodic table? Cite
probable situations.
