A Detailed Lesson Plan in Science 9

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students must have;
1. explained how electricity is produced;
2. traced the path of electricity from the generating station, transmission, and
residential area; and
3. differentiated between a step-up transformer and a step-up down transformer.

II. Subject matter: Electricity and Magnetism


a. Teaching strategies: Question and answer method, Cooperative learning, Predict-
Observe Explain Approach, Guided-exploratory approach (games),
Demonstration method.

Before you sit down, kindly pick up pieces of
paper on the floor and arrange your chairs
properly.
(Students arrange their chairs and pick
up pieces of papers on the floor).
Okay, I think everybody has been settled you
may now take your sit.
Thank you Sir!

b. Motivation

Now, I want you to count from 1- 5.


(Students are counting from 1-5)
So all number 1 please stand up and student B
kindly list down their names. Next, group 2…
group 3…group 4…. and lastly group 5 .
(Students stand up when their number
is called)
Now, I have here a series of pictures of how
electricity is being distributed from your home
and their descriptions. Thus, your task is
carefully analyze the pictures and assign one
picture to each member of the group. Then,
match the descriptions to the pictures by
laying them on the top of the table. The first
group to finish wins.
