Chapter 3

Methodology

This chapter describes the methodology of overview, participants, instruments and data
gathering and analysis. Methodology is the systematic, theoretical analysis of the methods
applied to a field of study.

3.1 Overview

This gives an outline of research methods that were followed in the study. The researchers
will takle the effect of anti-bullying program because the researchers believed that many grade
10 students have been bullied ,the researchers chose the title as a thesis to learn more about this
study and to analyse what is the importance of this study .The researchers will discuss this study
in a better way.According to the researchers this title is demand because many school apply
some program but some of them didn’t use it well so we think that this title will benefit more
upcoming grade 10 to make the program more realistic because the other schools just apply
program but it they can use it fairly .The researchers described the research design that was
chosen for the purpose of this study and the resons for this choice.The study will discuss the
effect of program if it is really help those have been experienced bullying.The thesis is all about
the effect of anti-bullying program to grade 10 students,the researchers will also discuss the
methods used to analyze the data Lastly, the effect of anti-bullying program to grade 10 students
issues that were followed in the process are also discussed.As it is indicated in the title, this
chapter includes the research methodology of the thesis. In more indicated in this part the
researchers outline the research strategy. Many students here in the Philippines have been bullied
continusly , that’s the demand action in the Philippines even the school can’t even stop it ,Using
this thesis we can conduct how many students have been experienced bullying .According to the
researcher ,some student need to educate more about bullying so they’re aware everytime some
people experienced bullying.Using this study we can stand for those people who have been
bullied physically and emotionally . Bullying is the use of force, coercion, or threat, to abuse,
aggressively dominate or intimidate. The behavior is often repeated and habitual. One essential
prerequisite is the perception (by the bully or by others) of an imbalance of physical or social
power. This imbalance distinguishes bullying from conflict. Bullying is a subcategory of

aggressive behavior characterized by the following three minimum criteria: hostile intent,
imbalance of power, and repetition over a period of time.What is anti-bullying? Anti-bullying
refers to laws, policies, organizations, and movements aimed at stopping or preventing bullying.
Bullying is the activity of repeated, aggressive behavior intended to hurt another individual,
physically, mentally, or emotionally.The research method. The research approach, the methods
of data collection,the selection of the sample,the research process,the topic of data methods of
data collection,the selection of the research process,the type of data analysis . It provides
information on the participants that is the criteria for the inclusion in the study , who the
participants were and how they were sampled.This title can lead to a great documentation about
the effectiveness of anti-bullying program to grade 10 students.

3.2 Participants

This section of the research will introduce who are the respondents and why they are chosen
to be the participants.The study was conducted by the students of Grade 10 Students Piaget. A
total of grade 10 students will be given surveys , 31 Einstein,30 Aristotle, 32 Plato,30 Piaget .
The participants in the study are studying in Divne Jesus Learning Center .Inc.The first
requirement of the participants will take is the survey and know his/her vices.The participants
study were from DJLC that are served by the researchers from the same school. All those
students will be graduating this march.

3.3 Instrument

This part of the thesis will discuss about the instrument that the researchers use and this will
help the researchers to find more information to the corresponding respondent.

There are many type of research instrument like survey that will answer a,b,c or d,The
survey questionnaire that the researchers will ask you a question and you could answer it by yes
or no,Next is interview here the researchers will appoint a meeting a they will ask some question
to the respondent,Lastly data gathering the researchers will seek a reference book .

The researchers have chosen survey because this is the easiest way to gather an information
using survey the researcher can easily know their thoughts about this study.This instrument is not
time consuming and the grade 10 students can answer the 20 questions in just 5 minutes

3.4 Data Gathering And Analysis

Data collection is defined as the procedure of collecting, measuring and analyzing accurate
insights for research using standard validated techniques. A researcher can evaluate their
hypothesis on the basis of collected data. In most cases, data collection is the primary and most
important step for research, irrespective of the research. The approach of data collection is
different for different fields of study, depending on the required information.

The researchers have chosen the survey as their research instrument.The researchers will
gather the information of what the grade 10 answered.To perform this we need a lot of time the
researchers will compute the answers and it will be distributed, We need a lot of hard work to
witness the result and using this we can easily know their thoughts about the effectiveness of the
anti-bullying program.
