Introduction

Company Background

Megah Jaya Sdn Bhd was formed beginning of the year 2015, with a team of professionals
with vast experience in infrastructure and building construction field. The aspiring
management team fully committed to provide the best service to their client that applies a cost
effective and timely approach to the completion of each projects undertaken.

For a record, this team has successfully executed projects valued at approximately
RM300 million in total from their previous attachment at other organization in the field of
building and infrastructure projects namely, residential and commercial buildings, factories,
road and bridges, landscaping work and others.

Megah Jaya Sdn Bhd team is geared to handle projects to the utmost satisfaction of
our client. Our group of energetic management staff, has one precious goal, the desire to
achieve success by following the policies of the company and by performing quality work in
the safest and economic manner.

Project Background

Masjid Kampung Klang Gate Baru was located at Lorong Sekolah Jalan Genting Klang, 53100
Gombak. The purpose of this project is to demolish and rebuilt the old mosque and built a
double-storey mosque on the old mosque’s site which is almost 2 acres. Cost for this
construction almost 18.75 million and will accommodate a congregation of 2500 people in one
time. The construction of the new mosque will be equipped with madrasah of six classes, imam
and bilal’s quarters. This construction will take 621 days to fully built.

This project is practicing functional organization which is have one person at the top of
hierarchy to lead and monitor the progress of the construction. A managing director will lead
the project and will be assisted by project director, projects manager, and construction manager.
In overall 35 workers including gross labour will be at the site to complete the construction.
Project delivery method used for this project is conventional project which means all the design
and materials had been completed before construction started.
Conclusion

As conclusion, Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 1994, Factories and Machinery
Act (FMA) 1967 and Building Operations and Works Engineering Construction Safety
(BOWECS) Regulation 1986 is one of the good act that have been implemented in Malaysia.
This is because with this act it can be as a guideline to the employers and also employees for
securing the safety, health and welfare of themselves at worksite. In addition, this act will also
protecting employers and also employees against risks to safety or health in connection with
the activities of persons at work. Employers and employees at the worksite can refer to this act
as a guideline to the procedures of the enforcement if any incidents or accidents that connected
to safety and health happened.
