Resumen
Palabras Claves:
técnicas de si – dispositivo analítico – parresia – sujeto moderno.
Abstract
Our hypothesis for this research focuses on the contrasting of the psychoanalytic device
as Freud's invention, as opposed to Foucault's postulations about what he calls the
techniques of self, a domain in which he investigates the notion and practice of parreasia.
Also, the french author looks into the problem of people saying the truth about them self –
with others- in view of their transformation, and their implications in relation to power
relations and coercion of wills, looking into the classical Greco-Roman era, and the era of
Christianity. In this way, we intend to know how the distribution of the places, functions and
objectives of parrhesia are in those periods, and to include the device of Psychoanalysis in
the foucaultian conceptual matrix, in order to elucidate the exceptional configuration of the
device as a technique of itself in modernity.
