We are pleased to introduce ourselves as one of the largest constituent college of
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad. Our college offers CIVIL, CSE,

The college has an active Placement Cell along with the Career Development Centre

from all streams. The objective of the college Placement Cell is to help students identify
their career goals and provide an edge into the present day competitive job market. The
scope of work of Placement Cell extends from organizing workshops to providing
internships to students in various organizations during summer breaks and preparing
students for the final placements. In the past, the placement cell has conducted similar
events in which several leading companies participated and recruited bright talents. We

We invite you for a Campus Placement Drive for Civil Engineering final year students. We
are keen to organize a Campus Placement Drive during Jan-March 2020 at our institute
for the B.tech Final Year students around 200+. These students will be appearing in final
year examination in April 2020. Therefore they can be available to take up their
employment from May 2020. We will be providing you the supporting infrastructural
facilities for conducting Tests, Interview, Presentations, and Group Discussion. Looking

About Malla Reddy Engineering College (Autonomous)

Malla Reddy Engineering College (MREC) was started in the year 2002 under
the Chairmanship of Sri.Ch. Malla Reddy, M.P, who has vast experience in
providing high quality technical education, on par with premier Institutions like
NITs and IITs in the country. MREC was started with the approval of AICTE, New
Delhi and is affiliated to JNTUH, Hyderabad. The college is situated in a serene,
lush green environment on Kompally- Bahadhurpally Road, opposite to Forest
academy, R.R.District, Telangana State.

MREC is now an accreditated institution by NAAC with ‘A’ Grade. The Institution
has high quality infrastructure and well equipped laboratories in all
departments. The college achieved autonomous status under JNTUH w.e.f
2011-12 and also conferment of autonomous status by UGC from 2014-15 for a

About Civil Engineering Department

The Department Of Civil Engineering at MREC Is producing high quality

technical manpower needed my industry, R&D organizations, and academic
institutions since 2004 with an Intake of 60. The intake has been increased to
120 in the year 2009 and 180 in the year 2014. The Department started
offering M.Tech with Structural Engineering specialization in 2010 with an
intake of 30, The department was accredited by NBA both UG & PG.

The Department of Civil Engineering has been established in the year 2004. The
Department has good infrastructure facilities and is equipped with full fledged
laboratories like Geotechnical Engineering, Concrete Technology, Strength of
Materials, Environmental Engineering, CAD, Surveying etc. to fulfill the
Academics and Industrial needs.

The Civil Engineering labs focus on the development of design, planning,

construction and scheduling of engineering structures. The Department is
having good number of experienced faculty. The Department has its own
library and computing facilities to carry out various purposes like project works,
seminars, workshops, software simulation etc. Seven faculty members in the
department are having doctoral degree and other five have registered for Ph.D.
The department is committed towards achieving excellence in technical
education so as to produce competent and confident engineers. The faculty
members takes personal care, counsel the students and motivate them at
regular intervals. Further, the parents/guardians are informed about their
attendance and progress of their ward. Tutorial classes & remedial classes are
conducted to encourage the slow learners.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS
Companies that wish to participate in the recruitment at Malla Reddy
Engineering College are required to indicate the job profile, preferred skill set
and approximate Cost To Company by dropping a mail to tpo@mrec.ac.in,
cehod@mrec.ac.in .Based on this information, the schedule for the placement
drive is fixed by the placement cell in consultation with the company. The
students are informed about the company and the job profile. The interested
students register for the placement drive.
On Campus: The drive is conducted as scheduled. Companies can choose to
give a pre-placement presentation. The entire procedure for recruitment (GD,
aptitude test, PI, HR etc.) is left to the company’s choice. All facilities and
logistics for the recruitment will be arranged by the placement cell.
Off Campus: Companies which are unable to visit the Campus are provided
with the updated CV/Resumes of the registered students. The company can
shortlist the students and call them for the recruitment process at their office.
Post recruitment process the recruiting company is required to announce and
intimate the college placement cell about the final list of selected candidates.

The Training & Placement Cell of our institution plays a pivotal role in
counselling and guiding the students for their successful career placement
which is a crucial interface between the stages of completion of academic
program of the students and their entry into the suitable employment. In
addition to campus placements, the Training and Placement Cell organizes
Professional Development programs like mock interviews, group discussions,
pre-placement talks, interactive sessions with industrial experts, case studies
