Preface

Thank you for selecting the DocuWide 6035/6055 (hereafter referred to as


the "machine").
This guide explains how to operate the machine and the precautions that
must be followed during operation. To get the most out of the machine and

This guide assumes that an operator has a basic knowledge of the
operating environment of the personal computer in use, networking
environments, and how to operate a personal computer. For information on
the environment of the personal computer in use, basic knowledge of
networking environments, and how to operate a personal computer, refer to
the manuals provided with the personal computer, operating system, and
network system.

Printing Using the Printer Driver

● The Printer Driver must be installed on the computer using the provided CD-ROM.

Print

Printing Using a Watermark

● When specifying printing, you can specify whether to use a watermark, and
whether to use the settings of the machine. The content specified (characters or
the time printed) and the serial number of the machine are printed automatically on
the document.

it by operation on the machine.

Printing Using BT-PlotAssistant (Optional)

● You can print using BT-PlotAssistant (optional) besides the printer driver.
● BT-PlotAssistant must be installed on the computer.
For the installation method, refer to the BT-PlotAssistant User Guide.

1 Click [Start] > [Program] > [Fuji Xerox]

2 Select the printer.


Select the printer from the [Printer Host Name] menu.

Checking the Machine Status and Job Status

● CentreWare Internet Services is a service with which you can confirm the print
status and the machine status from a computer via a Web browser. Also, you can
register mailboxes and retrieve documents scanned. (p.20)

1 Start up the browser


(1) Enter the device IP address in the browser address
field.
(2) Press the <Enter> key on your keyboard.
The machine status is displayed.

● This section describes the procedure to import the scanned document from a
machine mailbox to your computer using DocuWorks.
For information about DocuWorks, refer to the DocuWorks online help.

1 Click [Start] > [Program] > [Fuji Xerox]


> [DocuWorks] > [DocuWorks Desk].

2 Select a scanner.
(1) Select [Select Source] from the [File] menu.
(2) Select [Wide Format Network TWAIN Source], and
then click [Select].

If not changing the scanner, skip this step.

3 Open a mailbox.
(1) Select [Acquire] from the [File] menu.
(2) Click [DocuWide 6035/6055], and then click [Next].
(3) Select the mailbox form [Mailbox List], and then enter
a password into the [Password] field. Click [Next].

4 Import documents.
(1) Select the documents to import from the list, and then
click [Import].
(2) If there are no more documents to be imported, click
[X].

Scan (2)-3 Retrieving Documents with PC (CentreWare Internet Services)

● This section describes the procedure for importing documents from a machine
mailbox to your computer using CentreWare Internet Services.
CentreWare Internet Services allows you to import the mailbox-stored documents in
the machine to your computer without using any application software.

1 Start up the browser.


(1) Enter the device IP address in the browser address
field.
(2) Press the <Enter> key on your keyboard.
The machine status is displayed.

2 Select [Mailbox List] in the [Scan] tab.

3 Select the [Open Mailbox] button of


the mailbox that contains the

When a password has been set, enter the
password (4-digit number) in the [Password]

Import the document to the PC while scanning the document

● This section describes the procedure to import the scanned document to your
computer using DocuWorks.
For information about DocuWorks, refer to the DocuWorks online help.

1 Click [Start] > [Program] > [Fuji Xerox]


> [DocuWorks] > [DocuWorks Desk].

2 Select a scanner.
(1) From the [File] menu, select [Select source].
(2) From [Sources], select [Wide Format USB TWAIN
Source], and click [Select].

3 Start scanning.
(1) Select [Acquire] from the [File] menu.
(2) On the screen displayed, specify the media size and
adjust the image quality.
(3) Click [Scan].

Note
If the [Show Preview] check box is selected,
the preview screen is displayed after the
document is scanned.

5 Save the document.


(1) If the [Show Preview] check box is selected, adjust
the image quality and edit the image, as required.
(2) Click [Reload], and rescan the data.

Replacing Roll Media

1 Pull out the roll tray for Roll 1, Roll 2,


Roll 3, or Roll 4 with both hands.

2 Remove the shaft of the roll media


from the machine.
Note
You can set the roll in front of the roll tray.

3 Pinching the lever at the end of the


shaft (1), remove the shaft from the
core of the roll media (2).
Pinching the lever releases the lock of the roll media, and
you can remove the shaft.

4 Pinching the lever at the end of the


shaft (1), insert the shaft into the new
roll media so that it aligns with the
media size guide (2).

When setting a roll media with the shaft, place
the roll on the flat floor to avoid possible falling.

5 Adjust the roll media's orientation so

edge of media in to the machine until
it stops.

Replacing Consumables

● When the following message appears on the touch screen, load toner or replace
the waste toner bottle. Load Toner Replace Waste Toner Bottle

Loading Toner

1 Ensure that the machine has stopped.


Then raise the document cover.

2 Open the toner cartridge panel cover.

3 Shake the toner cartridge well to load

Shake the toner cartridge about 20 times or more.

4 Attach the toner bottle to the toner


cartridge refill opening.
Toner Cartridge (1) Align the notch of the toner bottle with the right side of

6 Tap the bottom of the toner bottle
repeatedly until all toner empties into
the toner cartridge of the machine.

7 Slide the lever to the right, and align it


to the position (1).

8 Remove the toner bottle (2).


Close the toner cartridge panel cover,
and lower the document cover into its
original position.

Replacing the Waste Toner Bottle

1 Ensure that the machine has stopped,


and release the upper unit releasing
lever to open the upper unit of the
machine.

2 Open the panel on the right side of the


machine.

3 Grasp the rear side of the toner waste


bottle and rotate it outwards.

4 Separate the toner waste bottle from


the waste spout and remove it from
the machine.

5 Replace and tighten (clockwise) the


cap on the top of the toner waste
bottle.

6 Attach a new toner waste bottle to the


waste spout and set the bottle
correctly into its original position.
Close the panel on the right side of the
machine.

7 Close the upper unit of the machine.
