introduction

(TDM) Time division multiplex is a type of transmitting and

receiving signals over a one path when the available time on a

link is divided between more than one information signal. These
time-slots are timed regularly at a known rate such that both
signals can be separated and recreated with minimum
distortion. Such a system means both signals have to be sampled
and the same considerations apply as for sampling one signal in
terms of sampling rate. Early TDM systems were entirely
analogue but the whole concept is more suited to digital
transmission. Most forms of modern digital communication
system involve some form of multiplexing. the TDM process
could be done with analogue signals prior to being digitized the
easiest method is interleaving the digital samples. Sophisticated
systems do not use the same number of samples for all signals;
they may send 28 more than one sample at a time in what are
called packets and attach identification tags to each packet to
tell the system how to deal with it.
Experiment procedure

PART1

First we used Matlab program to understand the TDM

We generate sin wave and triangle wave

Then we sampled this waves by using (stem)

Then we multiplexed this waves by using (reshape)

After that we used reshape again on the multiplexed wave to

reconstruct the waves

PART2

In this experiment we used ACT- 17300-05 module

First by using the oscilloscope we generate a triangle, square

and sinusoidal waves we adjusted the variable resistor so that
the amplitude is maximum without distortion and recorded
every wave voltage individual

After that we used the multiplexing circuit to show all the

waves in one channel in the oscilloscope by using the clock we

Recorded every wave individual

After finishing the multiplexing we took the multiplexing
output to the demultiplexing circuit to reconstruct the waves

And recorded the voltage again

Conclusion

In this experiment we understood how TDM work

1-we can transmit a signal in the same frequency but not the
same time

2-the signals (waves) still the same from the beginning of the
circuit to the end

3-multiplxing contract multiple waves

4-demultiplexing reconstruct the waves

5-in matlab part we used reshape code to multiplex the waves

then we used reshape code again on the multiplex wave to

demultiplex or reconstruct the waves
