Dear Mr. Correia,

RE: ADMISSION
I am pleased to inform you that you have been offered a place at the University of Dar es
Salaam for the academic year 2019/2020 to pursue a course of study leading to the award of
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (UD066).
You are required to register with the University within two weeks from the first day of
orientation week which starts on October 26, 2019. Failure to do so will consequently lead to
your place being forfeited and offered to another candidate. Deferment of the course to
another academic year is not allowed.
This offer is provisional, as it is subject to satisfactory verification by the office of the
Principals of Colleges, Deans of Schools and Directors of teaching Institutes at the time of
registration of the qualifications you have stated in the application forms. For the purpose of
registration, you must complete University Registration Form “A” (enclosed) as well as bring
with you the following:-
a) Original and two photocopies of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination
(C.S.E.E.), Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (A.C.S.E.E.) or
Diploma/Degree Certificate (or their equivalents).
b) Two up-to-date passport size photographs bearing your name, registration number and
course of study at the back.
c) Original and two photocopies of birth certificate certified under the Birth and Deaths

Registration Ordinance.
The offices of the leaders (Principals, Deans or Directors) of the respective academic units
will verify all required documents. It should be noted that it is an offence to submit false
information for admission. Impersonation and falsification of documents at any stage of
registration or afterwards will lead to automatic cancellation of admission and be subjected to
legal actions.

RESIDENTIAL ACCOMMODATION
The University of Dar es Salaam provides accommodation for all undergraduate students
during their first year of study.

MEDICAL EXAMINATION
You will be required to go for Medical Examination at the University Health Centre or any
other Government Hospital. Duly filled medical examination form (Form B enclosed) with
evidence that you have been screened for Tuberculosis including chest X-ray report shall be
presented during registration.

RESIDENCE PERMIT
All International students are required to apply for a Residence Permit from their nearest
Tanzanian Embassy before arrival.

IDENTITY CARD
All students are supposed to present their admission letters to the UDSM Identity Card Unit
for photograph taking and issuance of the ID. A Student Identity Card will be issued to you
after you have completed University registration formalities and only then will you be
allowed to use University facilities.
