SWISS-REZ, also known as the Central Reservation System (CRS) for Swiss International
Hotels & Resorts is a computerized system that stores and distributes information of the
hotels and the hotels’ facilities.

SWISS-REZ reaches the global distribution system (GDS) as well as internet distribution
systems (SWISS-FLEX & OTAs) from one single platform. SWISS-REZ assists the
reservations or revenue team in managing sales, allowing them to upload rates and
availabilities to be seen by the different sales channels which are connected to SWISS-
REZ.

Ensure that up to date content are loaded into SWISS-REZ. This includes Property,
Rooms and Data Management fields on SWISS-REZ. The hotels’ information required is
from the hotel’s location, restaurant and room descriptions to its amenities and policies.
When information is updated, it is seamlessly transferred to all the connected channels,
and can also be used in SWISS-RFP submissions.

Through the Images section on SWISS-REZ the hotel can store and manage up to 10 still
images of the hotel. Ensure that a hotel exterior, room images, restaurants and bars
images, a meeting room image and any other unique selling features are on focus. Since
only 10 images can be shared, ensure best quality images and images of the very, very
unique selling features are on display. These 10 images will be displayed on the GDS, as
well as third-party travel web sites.
Powerful Reporting

A key element within SWISS-REZ is a powerful reporting tool that enables hotels to gain
valuable insight about reservations and revenues generated from all the different
distribution channels.

The fast, powerful and easy-to-use hotel reporting dashboard is fully customizable,
enabling different users at your hotel to view what they need, and in their own preferred
format. Reports provide General Managers, Revenue Managers, Operational Staff and
Sales and Marketing teams with the critical information that they need to make informed
decisions. The reports can be accessed under the “Track” tab.

Other reports, such as Overall GDS production report for a city or STR Global’s Trending
Report for a specific region is also available and can be requested from the International
Service Center.

Very, Very Important:

a. Although the processes are seamless and easy to use, building rapports with
the bookers and with the customers remains key factors to incremental
revenue.

b. It is important that the contents are reviewed and enhanced at least twice a
year. Ensure that the best descriptions are reaching the hotel’s potential
bookers.

c. To understand the market, the reporting tools should be used effectively


along with some good analysis of the reservation and sales team.

d. SWISS-REZ Interfaces with SWISS-PMS to ensure seamless download of


reservations into the PMS.
