Narrator: Did you know that each part of the plant has a different name and function? Well at the end of this lesson
you will be able to:

5 The Roots

Narrator: The first part that we will identify is the root. Roots hold the plant together in the ground and supply the plant
with water and minerals to stay alive! Isn’t that amazing?

6 The Stem

The stem is identified on the image along with its

Narrator: The next part is the stem. The stem carries water and other minerals from the roots to the rest of the plant.
Think of it as drinking through a straw!

7 The Leaf

The leaf is identified on the image along with its

Narrator: Leaves are usually green in color. They absorb the air and light to produce the food that the plant needs to

The final part, the flower is identified on the image
